Please give void elves better hairstyles

Pass, Void Elves have gotten so much attention customization wise compared to other Allied Races and impactful customizations as well so if all they have negative is bad hair they can deal with it until other Allied Races get some of that attention and customization time especially when it comes to Kul Tiran, Dark Iron Dwarves, Vulpera, Mag’har Orcs and Mechagnomes.

Just because void elves got some customizations once (which, let’s be honest, was the bare minimum) doesn’t mean their biggest issue shouldn’t be improved. It wouldn’t take an insane amount of resources to fix (especially if they just copy-paste blood elf styles) so why should we have to wait indefinitely and hope we get lucky eventually?

And really, mechagnomes? The least popular allied race that almost no one plays? That’s your argument?

Lol, once, you got them during the Core Race pass which was about Core Races, then you got Blood Elf skintones, then most of the hair colors, then the shared blue eyes and then the Dark Ranger skin as well. As if, Void Elves have gotten a lot of attention and trying to pretend like they should get more is laughable.

Want Blood Elf stuff play a Blood Elf.

It’s part of my argument yes because I actually care about other Allied Races, I’m not over here trying to be selfish after getting stuff on my preferred race because I feel every race should get time and attention unlike some people clearly.

First off, void elves were barely even touched in that pass. The core races got actual major customization updates with new hairstyles, faces, tattoos, and whatever, while void elves got… blood elf skin colors. That wasn’t a “void elf update,” that was Blizzard doing the bare minimum to stop people from asking for high elves

If void elves were actually given a proper customization pass, they would have gotten new hairstyles, unique racial customizations, or even new ‘void’ textures. Instead, it was just borrowing blood elf assets

All of these were literally copy-pasted from existing assets. These weren’t new coid elf specific customizations, they were just blizzard taking what already existed and slapping it on void elves. Getting recycled content isn’t the same as getting real customizations

If Blizzard had put in actual effort, void elves would’ve gotten new hairstyles instead of just giving us the option to remove the tentacles, which creates entirely new problems as I explained

Funny thing, never argued that here, did I?

This is just a weak attempt to guilt trip, lol. Wanting better hairstyles doesn’t mean other races can’t get updates too. Void elves are one of the most played allied races meaning they deserve updates just as much as, if not more than, some of the least played ones

You say that I don’t care about other allied races, even though I literally said that I’m in favor of more customization options for everyone in this thread. I’m not talking about them right now because this is about what I want. You want to show how much you care about other races? Feel free to make your own threads

You keep acting like void elves have gotten some massive customization overhaul when, in reality, almost everything they got was copy-pasted from blood elves. They’ve never had a real customization pass like other races, just borrowed assets. Hairstyles are one of their biggest flaws, and asking for them to be improved doesn’t take away from other races getting updates too

Which is exactly what was asked for so people like you could play pretend while on the blue side.

Again exactly what was asked for.

You keep asking for exactly that because you don’t actually wanna play a Void Elf because Void Elf hair seems to bother you, pick your lane.

Pretty sure I was the one saying get in line because Void Elves have gotten more attention and more impactful options that most other Allied Races and that other Allied Races should get some of that time and attention before Void Elves do, you on the other hand are all about bad hair, bad hair, so again you want everything Blood Elf has actually play one then otherwise deal with what you got already because that’s a hell of a lot more than most other Allied Races.

“Play pretend?” Oh, so now she’s just straight up insulting people who wanted high eles on the alliance? That’s just bitterness talking.

The fact is that high elves have been part of alliance lore for decades. Void elves were Blizzard’s compromise, and when they saw how many people still wanted traditional high elf aesthetics, they gave them. That’s not “playing pretend,” that’s Blizzard finally acknowledging what players wanted.

But this thread isn’t about that. It’s about me asking for more hairstyles for the race I play the most

The idea that you must fully embrace every void elf aesthetic to play one is nonsense. It’s an rpg, people want to customize their characters to fit their personal vision.

Void elves aren’t just “void monstrosities”; they’re still thalassian Elves. If people want a refined elven look without tentacles, that’s valid.

This whole “pick your lane” argument is ridiculous. Blizzard literally gave void elves the high elf aesthetic because people wanted that option.

Saying “get in line” is meaningless when Blizzard doesn’t work on a strict queue system. They update what they see demand for, and void elves are one of the most popular Allied Races

Classic petty argument: “If you want anything similar to blood elves, just go Horde.” That’s been dead since the day blizzard gave void Elves the high Elf aesthetic.

Nobody is asking for a blood elf clone, just better hairstyles that don’t have horrible hairlines and broken layers.
If anything, horde players have had blood elves since 2007, yet they whine the moment alliance players get similar aesthetics. It’s hypocrisy at its finest.

Never once asked for ‘everything blood elves have.’ I just want better hairstyles that don’t look broken, just like any race should. It honestly seems like you’re arguing just for the sake of arguing.

You just don’t like that my opinions differ from yours and that I feel Void Elves have gotten more than enough and that other Allied Races deserve more time and attention and you are entitled to that just like I’m entitled to say what I want, you made the thread so I can add any reply I want so deal with it.

Other Allied Races deserve the time, attention and customizations Void Elves have gotten before Void Elves ever get new hairstyles.

It’s clear we’re not going to agree, and honestly, at this point, it seems like you’re just here to argue for the sake of it. You’re entitled to your opinion, and I’m entitled to mine, but this thread is about me requesting better hairstyles for void elves, my characters, not debating whether they deserve updates or not. I’m not asking for a complete overhaul or a blood elf copy paste

If you truly feel other races need more attention, that’s fine, but it’s not an excuse to keep derailing a discussion about something specific. I’m not going to keep going in circles with you, so I’m just going to leave it here. Thanks for the bump, though. More people are seeing this now

Humans have had terrible hairstyles for God knows how many years now. Buckle up, lmao.

I hate posts like these… let’s get serious for a moment. Female tauren need udders.

Why are elves always obsessed with hair?

Void Elves are perfect just the way they are. They do not need anymore customization. Where is the love for Kul Tirian and Dark Iron Dwarves? These two are in a terrible state. Hell the Nightborn need fixing badly, they are not like the NPCs from Suramar.

Some of them are much better than what we have :man_shrugging:

:anguished:

Have mercy, this isn’t a horror game

Ours look bad. I don’t want to look bad. Simple

Theres a whole thread for Kul’tirans I put together.

But more to the point, people can still ask for those things even as Void Elf players ask for things.

The main issue is other groups of people aren’t putting up their own threads and actively trying to push it forwards.

Like a lot of Blood Elf players come to high elf and void elf threads to say no, but rarely go to their own blood elf threads to give blizzard ideas or their desires for Blood Elves.

People requesting for their preferred race isn’t the issue. Its people not requesting for their preferred races that is the issue you’re facing. Go be the person to do it.

I agree with OP, all their hair options are just bad, some kind of Eddie-Munster-parted in the middle-Willard, Bride-of-Frankenstein thing going on. Why are the forheads so big too?

Given the poor hair options, I would submit the suggestion this is not reflected, that they’re not obsessed “enough”.

Right? They have a tendency to act as if it’s a queue based system where only one race at a time can get new options. Blizzard isn’t a small company, it’s not a group of 5 people working on the game. They always add things for everyone at the same time

It honestly makes it seem like they don’t actually want things for other races, it’s just an excuse to deny void/high elf the things they want for some reason. Kinda like “You can’t have this because I have it”

Maybe Blizzard has a type. Maybe it’s just cuz we have “big brains” :man_shrugging:

You make a very good point. We really should be more vocal about this
