Is there any data out there that shows which specs are getting it done?

Every spec except holy and disc can do it with a max of 610 ilvl.

That’s a shame, i think it would be really interesting to see, kinda like how you can look at some of the M+ and raid info to see which classes or specs just aren’t being taken anywhere lol

I completed it at 600 ilvl on a shadow priest. It took me 102 attempts ranging from 587 to my kill at 600 ilvl.

I think the key to the fight is turn off the zug mode. Focus on the mechanics. Slow and steady wins the race.

Spriest is one of the things my friend is leveling to get it done, apparently they are very strong with the encounter, yeah? Not that I’m trying to take anything away from your accomplishment, I’m sure it still took a lot of effort!

Shadow is, in my opinion, the absolute easiest spec to do it on. Regardless of how easy it is on XYZ spec, the core mechanics are all the same and they all kill you. It’s still a style of encounter many aren’t used to and takes some practice / understanding to beat, regardless of spec.

It is even worse for a slow melee class. And about baiting the cleave. By the time he is baited the cast bar is at 1/4 the way through. By the time i run over there it is over half. I can burst, but running off to egypt is insane.

355k dps to beat the egg. Even with only 50% on the timer you only need 700k dps. Should be no problem for any dps to properly plan for that

It did take effort but really I just had to learn to stop trying so hard to pump out damage. It’s really a fight you need to focus on mechanics solely and chisel your way down. That being said definitely recommend consumes for opportune damage moments

I’ve also don’t it on Frost DK and Arms warrior as well. All 600-605 ilvl

but from everything i have read about the ?? version, it’s a little over the top for Delve only peeps,

it’s actually not, only thing you have to do in ?? is stop the heal and kill the egg, the rest is nothing

This is probably the biggest issue with stuff like ?? Zekvir and Mage Tower. It’s not that they’re impossible, just most people aren’t willing to invest hours into something without a dopamine hit here or there.

I’d forgotten about it until reading this post, gave it a shot, made alright progress but ultimately goofed my positioning. Thinking I may work at it a little.

Idk, when I did MT on my Outlaw Rogue I really wanted those cute pair of rapiers.

I gave it a few shots, got to the third phase on Rsham one time then did worse the next few times and gave up (Mage Tower, that is). Lol But ?? Zekvir seemed more doable the couple times I’ve tried so far.

I do wish the reward were a title or a mog, I don’t really like the delve airship mount, so a skin for it isn’t anything I’ll use even if I do get it.

But thats actually the point. It’s supposed to be an end game encounter with end game difficulty.

It wouldn’t be much of an achievement if anyone could walk and smoke him in their first couple of attempts.

Honestly the best class to beat zekvir ??, is ret pally. The poison is voided with freedom and you always have some form of CD ready for the egg. I almost beat it at 600 ilvl then went ahead and got the 4 piece and lvled up some of the gear and beat it at 606 ilvl. I am not even that good so I know a lot of you could easily beat it and for sure at a lower ilvl. It’s really not hard to lvl up now and get good enough gear on a ret pally to beat it.

Zug mode off is absolutely the key. I beat him by just taking it slow and steady. The biggest mistake I made (twice!) among my many pulls was getting him under 10% and then trying to switch to blasting him down.

Blizzard please fix Zekvir,
my best attempt is like 40%, I do not want to beat RNG encounter.
If you are fully geared it should be oneshot.

Everyone else, instant ignore Hpellipsis and Faux,
vile, toxic, cancerous posters who try to gatekeep community from enjoying the game.

Yeah I hear you… it took me quite a few tries on ?? even though I have a mage-like blink. I would go mad trying it on a DK.
