You have no evidence to make that claim, just like you have no evidence to claim most boosted players are bad.
I don’t know anybody who has ever boosted the first character they ever made.
Most boosts are alts of people who already know the game.
I’ve never played a classic holy pally either, but I know they have 2 single target heals they spam all day, and a handful of emergency buttons. I know how spell coefficients work because they’re universal.
It doesn’t take 30 days of leveling to learn a class, certainly not if you’re sticking to one role.
You could know your class inside and out and still die to random chance. I almost died to the butcher in scholo yesterday because he switched aggro 3 times while enraged and smacked me for 50% of my health. Never seen him do that in 18 years.
Tag boosting and paying for a max level character ala Wrath are two very different things.
If you see a Druid healing a Dorf Rogue or Dorf Hunter in Westfall or Darkshore this Turkey Day weekend – I know nothing about that, even though the Druid’s name is suspiciously similar to this character.

Hope you have an enjoyable Thanksgiving with your characters. Jeddite Sr.
Never said anything was broke nor did I say I didn’t like something. I was responding to someone who stated it was impossible to deal with mob tagging without making it easier to grief. Perhaps read the discussion before running your mouth.
Because that’s not how you make nice with your advertising department.
Hmm I heard “someone is playing the game in a way I don’t like so lets ban them from doing it.”

I came here to post about this very thing. Glad I’m not the only one bothered by it. I’m tired of seeing streamers and other people getting boosted to 60 via mob tagging. I find it disgusting and it ruins the integrity of game and what HC is all about. I’ve lost all interest in playing HC now. Getting to 60 on HC doesn’t mean anything anymore.
It’s too late to make any changes to HC as the damage has been done. But I would really like to see them fix this on SSF servers. Maybe there is a way that once a mob is tagged that it would be impervious to any damage done to it by a player that does have a tag on it.
Wouldn’t that be a harsh penalty to people who like to duo or play with others? Also, creating mobs impervious to others’ damage would make it impossible to help out someone in distress. Just throw that hardcore baby out with the radioactive bathwater to solve a wee pique of yours, I suppose. Many of us would rather have fun with other people than attach our sense of honor to these pixels. And, no, before you leap to conclusions, I have not gotten boosted to sixty. Might never get there, but if I do, it will mean something to me, because I’m not setting any arbitrary rules on top of the central theme of “stayin’ alive.”
Perhaps you haven’t thought your suggestion through entirely. Nor have you come across the news that there are no SSF servers. The self-found experience will be a toggle for a new character located on the current HC servers, such as Defias Pillager and Skull Rock. The toggle will lock the AH and mail to that character, but can be toggled off whenever that character wishes to leave the SF mode.
/exits stage left humming “I’ve seen the tagging and the damage done…”

It absolutely means something still.
By your standards, since people rob banks, money has lost all of it’s value. Well, the people that work their butts off for a meager wage would argue with that sad logic, because every dollar they make is worth a ton to them.
It’s a matter of perspective and you seem to be taking the wrong one. Realistically, only you will ever know for sure if you earned your 60 or if it was a boosted joke. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks, and truly no one actually cares, you’re the one that gets to celebrate that and take pride in what you did.
You’re far too concerned with what the lazy and incapable are doing. Control what you can and don’t get so caught up in what others are doing or especially what they think.

That’s two different things.
Self Found? It’s coming soon as an option at character creation on the existing HC servers that will lock out that character from use of AH/mail/trading. You will be able to disable it when/if you wish but there’s no going back once turned off.
Solo Self Found? No such official option at this time nor any announcement that it is coming.
Are you wanting both?
With SF coming soon, it wouldn’t be difficult to just not group. EZ SSF.

It has zero impact on you, I know so many mages who quit because people like you ruined dungeon solo farming. “Oh no they have more skill or play a different class and they do what I can’t so I am mad” Every single multiplayer game in the last 20 years has had boosting. Just because YOU or I do not partake in boosting, does not mean that nobody should be allowed to. especially because it does not affect your gameplay at all, the only way it affects you is when you see it and choose to be butthurt.

If people play on a HC server and then abuse max level characters to boost themselves I honestly don’t get them. It’s like trying to brag you beat a game with cheats turned on. There’s a very specific reason to play HC classic, if you like Classic just play that instead.
It’s no skin off my back though, even unenforced HC is still heavily solo beyond dungeons or elite quests. It’s only annoying if you run into an area that is being heavily farmed by a mage or 60 in that regard.
