Please fix archaeology

Voicing my support for this.

As an original WoW veteran myself - this grind is incredibly toxic and unhealthy for the game. Nobody enjoys this and yet we all feel obligated to do it - a perfect scenario for burning out people and making them quit. I am all for things taking time, but this is absolutely ridiculous having 433 solves and no epics to show for it.

I don’t have either the staff or sword yet so feel free to discard this viewpoint but should I happen to get one/both before something like this is implemented, I wouldn’t care because I can recognize changes that I believe are good for the game should supersede my own personal feelings.

Just because there is a 1% chance of something happening does not mean that it’s guaranteed to happen in 100 tries. You could get unlucky and need 1000 solves to see it. Welcome to probabilities.

This grind only exists for the first few weeks of the first tier, after which it’s no longer relevant. Does it suck if you can’t farm an epic weapon before the first raid so that you can 99 parse? Sure. Is it the end of the world? No.

Does it affect you if badluck protection gets added? No. Is it old content that has already been grinded in an expansion that’s getting rushed in a year? Yes.

With all due respect, that’s really not relevant and a little bit disingenuous because people want the items for reasons that have nothing to do with parsing as well. It’s really as simple as this grind is currently not enjoyable for a great amount of people so they want it changed.

If it’s old content then why care about getting pre bis in the first place?

Because it will make the initial grind easier like heroic dungeons for example? Duh?

why shill so hard for a bad system, if its old content and gets outdated quickly

Why would anyone want archeology weapons in a rerun iteration of the game unless it’s for parsing.

It’s shilling to say suck it up buttercup?

same type of troll who would post “wall of no” before classic, move along nothing to see here

An epic weapon won’t make or break you doing heroics, I promise you.

Completionism/Transmog to name 2. Sure, I’ll grant you that the “parsers” make up a vast majority of people farming the items right now and likely won’t care about these items in 3~ months or so but that doesn’t mean the system should be upheld.

Give me a reason why the system should change then, and you can’t use the reason that we have already done this before.

Because it sucks, because there is a reason why devs havent added any content to it since BFA

That’s not very hard, its a terrible skill that blizzard have already acknowledged is terrible and they have completely dropped all development on it in current retail, its an out of place relic of the past with no progression and no finish line, pretty much 99% of the rewards are junk that you sell to the vendor instantly and the gameplay of the skill is pretty much an 0/10

so that just makes it worse, Garbage profession unused after a few weeks of a raid.

The mace off magmaw is more than competitive with it.
