Please find a way to reintroduce the spell batching system that was changed/removed in 2014

Look if you are simply incapable of understanding how batching actually worked despite it being clearly explained why it was completely uncontrollable and want to continue pretending it was all skill that’s great more power to you.

You must also be a champion bingo player since you can completely control random events.

Better luck next time friend.

There we go, now you’re starting to understand that the batching system was random.

Not understanding what is happening around you must be a very common occurrence at this stage.

I imagine it does happen often to people who think they are in control of what are ultimately random events.

Maybe if we gave you another 14 years to play with this mechanic you might begin to understand it, I’ll be replying to you in 2032.

Why is someone with no vanilla pvp experience even commenting on how something worked in vanilla?

Meh, I would rather they find a way to remove the debuff limit than spend the time working on replacing broken tech.

They can remove it any time they want to. Technically they had to purposely put it back in place to maintain balance.

No, they discussed it. It had nothing to do with balance and everything to do with, when they tried to change it, things started breaking so they kept it at 16.

Can you provide a source for this please?

I don’t know where you came up with this but it was never said by anyone employed by Blizzard.

Back in Vanilla 8-16 debuff slots was a technical limitation. In Classic it’s an intentional choice by the devs to maintain the integrity and balance of the game.

The reality is we don’t know what kind of technical limitation they’re really talking about. The debuff limit seems more akin to the issues they have with the default backpack, whereas batching seem like an accommodation for the hardware as it existed then.

Huh, I may have gotten it from the summary over at MMO champion, but I thought it was an interview or something and I can’t find it, nevermind then.

But as an additional point, Classic WoW wasn’t balanced, they are putting it in to maintain the same imbalance that Classic WoW had.

Would you disagree that spell batching was a part of this imbalance?

No, because like I said, Vanilla WoW wasn’t balanced and spell batching mattering was non-important. The purpose of WoW Classic is to not be the next eSport so I honestly don’t understand people being upset by something that 99% of the time had no effect.

Well I can attest that I personally lost interest in pvp when spell batching was removed after MoP.

At after achieving gladiator in MoP, I attempted to return to pvp in WoD. The game felt awful because the entire system of play had been flipped on it’s head by this server “upgrade” and I stopped participating. I then turned my hand to mythic raiding, ended up in a top 100 US guild, and quit at the start of legion.

TLDR: Because of something you might see as non-important, myself (any many other players who were at the very top end) quit pvp (and wow) due to this change.

Weird, I loved Vanilla PvP because I would hide behind things and global cloth wearers as a Hunter.

This was fun also.

As a top end pvper from when batching was around. I can assure you that it was a mechanic highly spoken about and used in its time. When we asked for a authentic vanilla experience we lost the right to pick and choose what should stay and what should go. It should be as close to the original as possible. This includes a mechanic which many high end pvpers noticed missing immediately after trying the new vanilla client.
