Please don’t put a cooldown on duel spec or remove LFD don’t try and fix the things players want in the original form. I know some changes would be nice but this is to much adjustment to items or other small things sure not this

Dual Spec always required you to be in a rest area to swap. Hopefully that’s all they reinstate.

negative. you could swap anywhere in wrath. swapping specs in rested area only is a retail thing.

Yeah Brian something said they were “allowing” dual spec (take that in, by his grace we are allowed dual spec)
BUT they were “mildly nervous about the effect it would have on hybrid spec” and were considering how best to nerf it.

he was talking about hybrid specs, like they want you running around 1/2 ret and 1/2 holy
AND they think the thing preventing people from doing this is dual spec.

not only are hybrid classes gimped from talent tree balance, even IF they got hybrid specs to work, people would STILL want dual spec.

not to mention the random side stuff we’re getting from some guy on twitter saying no faction, no race change, name change is ok tho… like why remove these features that came with the expac? makes no sense why theyd make changes when nobody wants them

He also mentioned about “where do we draw the line” about people being able to respec in combat or in arena. Something players have never been able to do, did he even google what dual spec was?

I’ve been 100% pro duel spec since classic vanilla and think it should have been put in since then. But putting a cooldown on it (say 4-6 hours) is the right way to go, so that people aren’t swapping specs in-between bosses and hybrid classes aren’t forced to play off specs they don’t want to. With the current min max culture plaguing WoW a duel spec with no cool down would be toxic. Duel spec is necessary so pvpers don’t have to pay a tax to play both aspects of the game, but it needs to be restricted to avoid the above concern that is assured to happen.

Which entirely destroys how wrath raiding works. So either we have to bring more healers than we need for the entire raid, or we just straight up drop 1 so we 4 heal everything.
Only need 2 spriests for one fight? Well too bad they have a 6hr cooldown
want to tank a heroic before raid? Well won’t because I’ll have to pay for a respec.

To be fair lots of people do that.
It’s almost like you can’t further min max old content to death that is already easy by modern standards. This is the whole purpose of a restricted duel spec and a net positive. Not shocked you have this opinion though since you wanted non-nerfed drums so everybody would be forced to be leatherworking in tbc.
A restricted duel spec makes your second concern better because at least they can respec at all for free and just have to time it right. If they aren’t tank spec right now, most aren’t going to pay the gold.
