Please don't speed up MoP's patches

MoP is easily one of the best expansions. It has so much content, and the zones and music are just breathtaking. It has so much going for it. So please don’t do a faster cadence for MoP. If you have to, I don’t mind it going a “little” faster, but please take your time and do this right.

Speeding up Cata’s content made sense. There wasn’t nearly as much to do in it, but for MoP I am begging you to take all the time you need and do this expansion right.

So much time is being spent on SoD. It would make more sense to take MoP slow, and instead of cramming to get the content out fast, it would be better to take your time and work on fixing bugs over anything else. This would also give people more time to enjoy this wonderful expansion.

I know that a lot of people don’t think that the devs read the forums, but they have been listening to feedback. So if any of them happen to stumble upon this thread, I really hope it reaches them and they find it in their hearts to listen.

As long as MSV isnt randomly a 4month long raid then I dont really mind if they slow things down, but dont randomly inflate the content with artificial barriers longer than originally. MSV wasnt open for 4 months before heart of fear.

I have spent all of Cata waiting for MoP. I missed it the first time round and from what I have heard COUNTLESS times it’s one of the best if not the best expansions out there. So much to do, so much to learn. So little time.

It’s without a doubt one of the best.

The zones are the best in WoW’s history. The music and atmosphere is stunning. It feels like it’s a living, breathing world. There’s so many collectibles and secrets to find, and the events are so immersive. If you haven’t heard of it before, there’s an event that happens in one of the zones. They get everyone on a beach, and they have turtles going out to sea, and after it’s over, there’s fireworks everywhere. It’s so magical seeing it all.

Trust me. When you get the chance to see it, you’ll understand why it has the reputation that it does.

In your opinion.

It’s your opinion that it’s their opinion. My opinion is that every post in here is from the perspective of one’s opinion. Whether based off feelings or qtr reporting, etc.

No one person is the voice of everyone. Just my opinion.

I think one thing that worked in mop’s favor was that it was widely made fun of before its release. This had people expecting very little, only to be very pleasantly surprised. Mop had a very goofy overtone, but the undertone was pretty serious, and many of the quests reflected this.

Mop also tried to bring pvp in line with endgame content, which allowed people to choose where they wanted to place their focus.

All in all, I would consider MOP the Anti-Shadowlands. Where shadowlands had a very intense and interesting premise, it’s execution and story weren’t good. MOP had a very silly premise but was executed very well.

No, that’s a fact, not an opinion.

You’re absolutely right that it’s my opinion. I personally think it’s one of the best expansions. But if you ask the majority of the playerbase on the forums, they would at least agree that it was a good expansion, even if some didn’t think it was great.

But that’s the good thing about opinions. We’re all allowed to have one, and I respect yours as well.

It’s the most overrated expansion of all time. Y’all thought Wrath was just nostalgia that didn’t live up to its classic expectations, just wait for MoP.

Retail would be a better expansion to play at this point. MoP is basically retail anyway with 2012 graphics.

Wrath Classic was a letdown because Blizz screwed it up with idiotic changes. Probably do the same thing to MoP. But their attention seems focused on SoD, so maybe they’ll leave MoP alone. Which means it might be quite good.

To some extent, I feel like cata just caught a bunch of strays from the faults of wrath and mop, being sandwiched between them.

MoP is nothing like The War Within

I think it’s one of the worst it’s the expansion that I quit wow on because it was so boring

MoP and Retail are entirely different games

What would be best schedule? 4-5 months patchs? I think going over 5-6 would feel a bit slow.
Moreover I feel first 2 tiers need to come out somewhat faster as they did originally.

Mop is going to be a huge shift for the community.

Raids are generally 50% harder and a lot longer & more epic.

Blizz is going to have to make some serious changes or otherwise only a few guilds are clearing heroic ToT and SoO. Its just too hard and time consuming for the classic auidence.

If they are lazy and just do blanket 30% nerfs it will ruin the game.

Hopefully they actually invest some dev effort and speed up raids more organically (more loot drops, nerf trash, more teleport checkpoints, closer graveyards, out of combat run speed, put a summoning stone at raid entrance, etc).

It also needs to be made far more alt friendly (shared leggo progress, less dailies)

I agree with the legendary cape. I never got it back when, but heard it’s not alt friendly. So anything to help would be nice.

As for dalies, there is a way to speed that up. Once you get to exalted on one toon, you get something from the quartermaster that raises rep gains that is BoA. I think it was the tabard? I can’t remember.

Spoken like a true classic Andrew that hasn’t updated retail since WoD.

If you’ve tried retail in the last 6 years, you definitely wouldn’t be saying that.

The first three raids, not really. MSV and TOES are not long nor difficult, HoF is just annoying.

Throne and SoO are very long, challenging and have a lot of trash. SoO has a good difficulty curve but it’s a raid that takes two nights.
