I wonder if Blizzard will let us name our private neighborhoods. I want to live on Sesame Street.

Sunny day
Chasing the clouds away
Find my way
To where the air is sweet
Can you tell me how to get
How to get to sesame street
How to get to sesame street
Come and play
Everything’s a-ok
Friendly neighbors there
For all to meet
Can you tell me how to get
How to get to sesame street
How to get to sesame street
If I can’t destroy my or other’s property. Can we really call it housing and a neighborhood. I want to be able to throw rocks through the windows of people’s houses. I want to be able to call the police and do wellness check ups on my annoying neighbors. Have my hunter’s pets poop in their yards. We need immersion. Not another garrison 2.0 but I can see everyone else’s garrison as well.
Well, the neighborhood I live in is pretty nice. When my family first bought our house, we had people who live around us come up and introduce themselves. Exchange phone numbers in case of emergencies, that sort of stuff.
Can’t be too bad in a video game setting to be around other people writing random junk in chat broadcasted throughout the whole of the neighborhood.
I mean, you don’t want to see someone with the name (Meatlessballs) spamming chat with politically charged junk?
I’m not going not to have a back and forth with you any further because I really just don’t think you get it, you just want to be argumentative.
Player choice, I want the CHOICE to live on a secluded plot, understand? This isn’t a “my way or the highway” scenario buddy.
What exactly do you think is the point of player housing in an MMO? It’s a role play feature, as long as there is no power progression attached to it the houses are purely a cosmetic feature designed to introduce the fantasy of living in a home that is unique to you.
People will always have different uses for player houses, whether it’s to use as a meeting hall for Guilds or simply a place to hang your hat and escape all the noise.
There are plenty of places that already exist for being social, if I want to be around hundreds of other players I’ll go to Orgrimmar, or Dornigal or Dalaran. I can go there and /wave at people and say “hi” and ask for advice for something on Trade chat, and I will 100% be ignored by everyone but at least I can get the feeling of being around others.
People like you believe that we need every new feature and system introduced into the game to be made to be social, but have you considered that maybe it won’t be any different in a neighbourhood than it is in any city hub?
I want a retreat, a place to call my own that I can escape to that doesn’t share a fence with someone else’s, in my MMO world that I love.
