Sorry, but this animation is atrocious.

It looks ridiculous, there is nothing nice to say about it at all.
Who in their right mind even greenlit this crap?

When we say improve warrior animations it means give them unique phyiscal swings to showcase martial prowess, but this random ghost axe crap thatā€™s desynced 1s behind damage even landing aint it. Change it to upheaving earth instead if you really must adjust the animation.

Remove this eyesore horrible echo crap

Iā€™m kind of indifferent on the whole animation, but I do like that they 're using various weapons and actually leaning into the Arms Warrior Class fantasy of Weapon Master.

Iā€™m still waiting for the day I can transmog 2h weapons into 1h as Fury without needing to take SMF.

How in the world is summoning ghost weapons any indication of being a master of arms?

Usually you have rational takes, but this aint it chief.

I feel like the animation is out of sync as well. It would be better if the ghost weapons attacked the armor, and then it shatters. Would make more sense. Still, wouldnā€™t be brutal or visceral as Iā€™d like. Could be worse though.

Not the summoning part, the part of there actually being a variety different weapons than the one youā€™re wielding being apart of the animation. Iā€™ve always thought Arms should use different weapons with unique animations for our abilities, since weā€™re supposed to be weapon masters.

So the fact that theyā€™ve at least acknowledged that part of the fantasy (different weapons) is nice.

not only are the SFX horrid and are just re-using TBC model weapons (compared to say paladin animation which are unique and higher poly count) the model animation for warbringer is just a combination of whirlwind and some other animation im to lazy to look up right now and they do not flow smoothly at. all. nor is it unique.

In itā€™s current form its more of an insult to warriors. (Heres some TBC level models, 2 of which hold no special meaning to warriors now eat your slop and enjoy it).

Thereā€™s nothing redeeming about this at all. What the hell were they thinking? Could we please have a few developers that are working on pallies shift over to our side?

The animation isnā€™t great. Donā€™t try to reinvent the wheel here. If you want to add an animation, animate the colossus smash icon splitting apart over the targetā€™s head instead of whatever this is.

The problem is something like this would be cool if Arms was a magic spec that summoned different weapons to use in combatā€¦ But warrior is a 0 magic class so why are there weapons being summoned out of nowhere that you donā€™t physically use?

Imagine if you had a stable like hunters where you can pick which weapon to draw outā€¦Something like Gilgamesh or erza from fairy tailā€¦

oh well.

Changing weapons based on certain attacks I could get behind, but ghost weapons slamming around on our main cooldown? Yeah miss me with that.

The whole ā€˜weapon masterā€™ thing is subjective too, if someone is a master of Arms theyā€™re proficient in martial combat with multiple different weapons and how to fight with them.

The animation misses the mark entirely, it doesnā€™t suit warrior, it should be more earth shattering to show off the brutal might behind those swings as opposed to ghostly low poly axe models from TBC.

The important part of my feedback, is that I like that theyā€™re messing with multiple unique weapons for spell animations. As I said, Iā€™m indifferent to this animation, and our live version of Warbreaker, so its no loss to me if this particular version of this animation gets canned.

I just donā€™t want them to stop trying new things, especially when theyā€™ve finally managed to hit on a theme (Weapon Master).

This animation is a disaster. Please donā€™t ship this. Magical silver-white ghost weapons flying out of the sky on our primary dps cd is so totally not a warrior ability, itā€™s not even physical damage. Even popping the icon of cracking armor above the head really isnā€™t appropriate but might be more acceptable. I appreciate that Blizzard is trying something new, but this is WAY off the mark and totally out of theme.

An animation with a huge overhead cleave that could brutally rend the enemyā€™s armor open? Yeah, that feels appropriate. An animation where we swing wide and slam our weapon into the enemy in huge shattering blow that would smash their armor apart? Totally. But giant mystical magical ghost weapons dropping out of the sky to smash sort of wildly away from our targets while sparkly magic armor crackles above their head? Miss me with that, man, Iā€™m not a wizard, Iā€™m here to smash.

This is what I want to know. Who thought ā€œwow that looks warrior!ā€? Flashy crap like this is for paladins.

I donā€™t mind flashy effects that are enhancing the visuals in a good way, just look at FF14ā€™s warrior for instance.

https://youtu.be/zx2vW0TAJKQ?si=tJiP-KwoiKh9U1YP&t=153

Itā€™s mostly focused on physical swings, explosive rage induced power and earth shattering attacks regarding itā€™s theme of ā€œWielding greataxes and known as warriors, these men and women learn to harness their inner-beasts and translate that power to unbridled savagery on the battlefieldā€.

Which isnā€™t entirely different to the Warcraft description of Warriors on this very website which can be found here.
https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/game/classes/warrior

Now keeping things on brand for Warcraft whoā€™s warrior is a rage fueled machine whoā€™s martial prowess is unrivaledā€¦
If their animation focus stays on on martial weapon swings, earth shattering aftershocks and wind/storms being whipped up due to the sheer speed/power of the swings, theyā€™ll much better suit a physical powerhouse and can give some graphical flare to Warriors while still feeling like Warcraft.

Previously we did have some earth shattering animations in Legionā€™s iteration of Warbreaker which wouldā€™ve looked cool if they just made it brown and earthy going forward instead of the hop weā€™ve had since BFA.

The pvp take is that regardless of how silly this looks, this is a really powerful spell and the new animation will do a good job indicating when the warrior is in a heightened offensive state. Games as a whole have already moved long past scanning 15 icons to parse the state of an encounter. This is kind of needed now.

What in the mobile app crap is this?

Posted this in another thread but Iā€™ll drop it here too. Warriors arenā€™t DKs or Paladins. Magic effects donā€™t fit a Warriors style of meaty smash hits. Phantom weapons just seem odd. There is a reason I glyph my heroic throw to toss my current weapon rather than some odd magic axe I pull out of no where.

Suggestion:
Use the stomp animation Warriors use when they break a quest item. Itā€™s the kind of large hit animation you would expect when breaking a number of targets armor.
