So it seems, since you can do that right now, with the option of having a pet. That its fine to keep that option open to players.
And that A fix should be enacted to make it so you don’t have the “Clunkiness” or “sub-optimization” of having to use a macro to summon a pet, cast lust, to immediate dismiss the pet.
I won’t repeat for the 3rd time why the pet is a not a problem of DPS, but of hindering the spec’s toolkit.
Is there some trick where if you just post around a argument enough it some how defeats it…?
I’ve used pets since the last go around with Blizzard taking them away from MM Hunters. Then as now when running solo in the open world it is a survivability issue caused by the lack of mobility on our most powerful skills that comes into play. Without a tanking pet we are forced into using lower damage skills while kiting the mobs or we have to try to survive in melee range while using our highest skills. I’ll give it a try but it looks like another character will be retired due to Blizzard mucking up the class.
It would have zero impact on the spec’s toolkit if they fixed Lone Wolf.

No it didn’t pan out and the same reasons it didn’t work before still exist today. The problem is and has been survivability from the inability to use our most powerful shots while moving.
Fun is a thing to be considered instead of just doing bigger numbers. Would you consider an optimal spec to be one that only has one button that does a million damage?
They are being corrected with the revamp.

we’ve had something very very close to this with shadowland S3-S4 warlock and survival hunter.
the answer is yes.
I’m not the one posting 100’s of times complaining.
To me, not having my pet will make it inherently less fun than it is now.
