It’s not a traditional pet. Most of the anti pet crowd aren’t going to care.

Or worse, loss of sub numbers.
There are those dedicated players who wouldn’t touch BM or Surv because BM involved buffing your pet. Surv was a huge glitchy mess to begin with and didn’t appeal to the masses.
MM was all about using a bow, gun, or crossbow. The pet was a very friendly feature.

This is from lore perspectives and we all know how Blizzard likes to mess with this stuff.
You’re the one not reading. They’re telling you that MM already does not use a pet in PvE unless they want to perform worse for some reason.

Forgetting the solo experience post I made, I see.
I find it funny everyone complaining and claiming it’s the end of the world aren’t posting on hunters

Then why are they adding a hawk companion?
( disclaimer: my MM hunter is pretty far down my list of alts and he’s MM for RP reasons rather than gameplay ones … but taking away choice we already have and replacing it with a fixed, pre-defined companion rubs me the wrong way)

I don’t care for the style of “don’t remove hunter pets”
I’d prefer if we referred to it as putting the hunter pets down.
I’d also like to then pretend we can’t tell the difference between a worgen and a hunter pet.

Yes because solo players doing trivial content isn’t what you base class changes around.
What status? No one knows who you are.
It’s bad. If they follow through with this, that is a chuck of customization being erased for MM Hunters for no good reason.
There is really no defining defense for this.

Yo level 10 hunter. You wanna explain to me how the execution for survival hunters went through?
Give you a hint. It was also bad. Unaccounted bugs and broken mechanics that the devs tried OVER AND OVER again to fix, only to get unsatisfactory results.
The same execution will apply here if they took pets away for whatever is brewing in their minds.
They’re not “Ruining the Solo Experience” the developers are trying new things in an old stale game that has grown stagnant over 20 years.
Now if they completely removed All ability to uses different specializations or removed the use of pets from All specs I could see the reason for panic and disbelief, but they’re still leaving those options open for players to utilize multiple specs when needed.
Change is good for a product that is this old, trying new ideas out and seeing what works is as well, which is Why I can not wait to hop on to the PTR to test this out.
