MM needing to have a pet to use lust and then having to dismiss pet before doing any damage was an issue.

Dont most MM hunters forego pets anyway. And having to use pets just led to complaining about having to maintain something theyd rather not in the first place?

But the proposed changes include a whole new ability to give MM lust despite their lack of pet. So there’s nothing stopping them just adding such an ability with the current lone wolf situation. It was always that easy.

It’s not irrelevant to me, and that is my entire point. If you don’t want to use hunter pets then by all means don’t. Leave my hunters alone.

It very much does. I take it you never played Skyrim before? There was a unique mod on Nexxus that allowed hunter themed toons to run with a hunter pet. The functionality was robust and there were over thousands of downloads.
Fallout 4 did the same damn thing. And there were more than thousands of unique DLs.

What’s relevant to you is irrelevant. The class has issues that needs addressed and it’s irrelevant how you play in trivial content.

i might not raid with my pet…but i do USE my pet depending on what im doing:
tanking elites, big pull misdirects, off tanking, hero (though i guess that could be reworked to function without one)
not to mention sometimes you just want to have the pet out

I feel like what they’re doing is the worst of both worlds. Marksman is now even more forced to use a pet and we have no control over what that pet is.

A generic stand in that we have no connection to. Not even the token effort of making it a race specific animal. Eagle is great for tauren hunters. Not so much everyone else. Like I said in an earlier post, there’s no reason they can’t just have this proposed changes for the spec work with our current pets.

No they aren’t. They’re expressly not using a pet. The eagle is a non-interactive object that is tied to specific abilities, it’s just like the sentinel hero tree’s owl. Basically, it’s just part of the abilities’ visual effects
