Oh, well I never did. Did they outright remove the ability to summon a pet? I didn’t read the short college essay that was marksmans changes.
I was too busy sobbing over how they are destroying prot warriors…

Changing the playstyle for the spec, sure, whatever. But nothing about what they’re proposing necessitates this random animal. They can just as easily make our actual pets perform those functions.

Yes… if you are constantly using melee attacks as a warlock you are playing it poorly much like mm with a pet.

Yeah no, what you do in world content is irrelevant.
MM needing to have a pet to use lust and then having to dismiss pet before doing any damage was an issue.

Dont most MM hunters forego pets anyway. And having to use pets just led to complaining about having to maintain something theyd rather not in the first place?

But the proposed changes include a whole new ability to give MM lust despite their lack of pet. So there’s nothing stopping them just adding such an ability with the current lone wolf situation. It was always that easy.

It’s not irrelevant to me, and that is my entire point. If you don’t want to use hunter pets then by all means don’t. Leave my hunters alone.

It very much does. I take it you never played Skyrim before? There was a unique mod on Nexxus that allowed hunter themed toons to run with a hunter pet. The functionality was robust and there were over thousands of downloads.
Fallout 4 did the same damn thing. And there were more than thousands of unique DLs.

You’re also assuming they are taking pets away 100%.
What’s relevant to you is irrelevant. The class has issues that needs addressed and it’s irrelevant how you play in trivial content.

Skyrim and fallout for are single player rpgs not MMOs.
When you use other games mods that aren’t even in the same genre as arguments it’s irrelevant.
So yeah don’t have terrible takes and you might not be irrelevant.
i might not raid with my pet…but i do USE my pet depending on what im doing:
tanking elites, big pull misdirects, off tanking, hero (though i guess that could be reworked to function without one)
not to mention sometimes you just want to have the pet out

I feel like what they’re doing is the worst of both worlds. Marksman is now even more forced to use a pet and we have no control over what that pet is.
