Data for Azeroth attempts to proactively find characters by using guild rosters, Hall of Fame leaderboards, PvP leaderboards, Mythic+ leaderboards, etc. However, Blizzard limits how quickly I can call their APIs, so it is not feasible for me to find every character that exists.
It’s not 100% perfect, but it’s leagues beyond the nothing that you’ve shown me to back up your claims.

I highly doubt there’s that much of a difference if we had access to the official data. You’re just grasping at straws because you know you have nothing at all to back up your claims.

There are zero numbers to back up claims for either side of this arguement. However, there are more things in general that back up one stance over the other.
Regardless, its still the same handful of people arguing on both sides. This isn’t some big, trending issue.
Then there is this. Hunters have an insane soloing kit that doesn’t require pets. And they are more tanky than casters without as well. Mages, priests, shaman.
You can completely lock down a mob or stop them from ever reaching you. And mm has the advantage of burst damage and super high crits.
From a gameplay stand point, I don’t see the problem other than it forces you to actually use your kit.
The tl;dr of this entire debate is essentially boiled down to function over form vs form over function.

Aside from the actual arguments what people see when they come to the thread:
the people who support pet removal are extremely toxic, snide, hostile and spewing hatred,
the people who would like to retain pets not sure why parts of “community” act the way they do.
Keep up Snoz, your posts convey more than you actually anticipating.
If Blizzard developers are anything like you Snoz, I would rathe unsub forever and not touch that product with 10 foot pole.
That is why its extremely beneficial that this Quik person was fired.
