PLEASE don’t change augmentation evoker

I have seen Logs where the parses are better but the overall group DPS is down. That is my point. I feel like I’m being pretty clear on that…

For example, the top Forgotten Experiments parse between Augvoker and Devoker is nearly identical in damage + DPS. The Devoker is ~400 dps higher

But the Devoker is 447 and receives 3 buffs. The Augvoker is 443 and receives 0 buffs.

My buddy that I duo with (destro lock) goes up from 100k to 140k DPS when I’m with him. So that’s a 40% increase. I do about 40k DPS, so around 40% of a similarly geared/skilled DPS.

If the aug is doing his job correctly, you would have 140%+140%+40% = 320%. And, I bring a lot more to the table than other DPS. I have a cheat death for the team, a 14% hp buff (two charges) for the whole team, a 40% speed buff (two charges) for the whole team, 20% aoe reduction for the whole team, aoe and single target instant heals, a gigantic shield, bloodlust, letting the healer cast while moving and doubling their range, increased mana regen for the healer, increased armor for the tank, and increased DMG for the tank. I’m sure I’m forgetting some things.

If you’re only talking about DPS with augvoker then you’re having less than half of the conversation you should be.

it needs to be nerfed. Something that provides equal damage and way more survivability is too strong.

We’re on what, day 4? Everyone is still wrapped up in the deeps, which in itself is telling about the overall way we perceive the game. The benefits to Tanks/Healers are only just being talked about and then the utility.

We just gotta always get through this first tunnel vision dps discussion of every new game changing addition lol

Augmentation isn’t an auto win.

The dumbest part of survival hunter is that it was picked as the melee spec rather than the correct one, which would be BM.

a good aug on logs is 130k dps

I understand how hard a good one is to kill in pvp. It can’t be a buffing machine and be near impossible to kill

I tried it out on a M+ dungeon.

The other DPS, despite having over 70% uptime on Ebon Might while in combat, did less damage than I expected. Which meant I would have been better off just playing Devastation.

Augmentation isn’t a secret to parsing golds, if anything you can have 20 Augvokers buff you and your parse will remain the same. Having one (1) priest giving you PI will help though.

Ebon might isn’t the only important buff to maintain…

I’m aware, was also maintaining the 2x Prescience because with my mastery the buff lasts long enough that it will pretty much always be active on the other two DPS, as well as popping Breath of Eons on the massive trash packs and on boss pulls. The tank debuff was kept on the tank pretty much the entire time or popped on someone else if they ended up getting aggro or were focused by an add. Considering Ebon Might is the majority of an Augvoker’s damage contribution, as well as having the extra buff from the Legendary as well buffing both DPS on the Ebon Might+Fire Breath+Upheaval rotations when neither of them managed to break un-buffed DPS levels of damage while buffed, was that simple issue of “Augvoker is great with good players but mediocre with mediocre ones.”

Yeah that’ll always be the case with support specs though. Your buffs are only as good as how well they’re utilized. It makes it obvious real fast who the good players are and who deserves the buffs
