PLEASE don’t change augmentation evoker

People are stupid and don’t understand it, and that’s fine. It’s growing pains. This game hasn’t had anything close to a real support spec since classic shaman. I’ve been waiting for a support spec for a long time and can guarantee you players like me are having a blast. I want more in the future. I’m still holding out hope for bard.

It either works or it doesn’t.
And if it doesn’t work, I hope Blizzard just abandons ship instead of trying to force it to work.

Just by looking at Warcraft logs you can see based off someone’s parses if they have an Aug in the group. Usually doing like 60% parses but then yesterday they suddenly have one single 70-80% parse lol. Sounds good… but then you look at it and the overall group performance is worse because you have a 50k DPS Aug instead of a 100k+ DPS. Jimmy parsing 10% better doesn’t make up for Steve doing -50K DPS.

The number of people hating on augvoker on this board is way higher than anything I’ve seen in game, at least in my experience. The past couple days with aug I’ve pugged a normal aberrus and a bunch of m+ and I haven’t had one negative comment yet.

As usual, this board fills with a vocal minority who scream and shout the most, so it can seem like the things they are complaining about are bigger issues than they actually are.

That said, there are a ton of people hating on us on this board. Which is fine, every time something new happens anywhere in the world there are always going to be some slow people that adapt to those changes more slowly than others. They can’t help it, it takes them more time to understand things. So we just have to be patient while they figure it out.

It’s ultimately the devs decision to make, there’s not much we can do.

This is how we lost Combat and ranged SV. Lazy defeatist devs with zero creativity.

no, delete it, it makes the game worse, class balance is in shambles, bring it back if you can do it right and have more than 1 support spec in the game

If they reverted things that didn’t work we would have Combat and Ranged SV back lol. It is their stubbornness to make Melee Hunter a thing that is causing so many issues.

Do you really want the Devs who can’t make SV a fun spec after 6 years working on it, trying to make an entirely new spec-architecture work, if it has visible cracks in the foundation?

So far I like having them in my groups in mythic plus. I haven’t tried the spec out. But when everyone’s good it is very nice.

Your mileage will vary though based on player knowledge, good team mates = good damage buffs.

No I’d want them fired. If you failed at your job for 6 years you’d be fired.

How hard is it to make a brawler type rogue or a poison/trap type ranger? These aren’t unique archetypes. They exist in tons of games. It isn’t hard. It’s laziness.

Melee Sv is pretty fun, just needs some tweaks to the rotation honestly. Focus generator not being on a pet would also be nice for when you get those errors (pet can’t hit the target therefore you suffer).

I think the dumbest part of SV Hunter is the fact that you are yeeting grenades at your enemy with both you and your pet in melee range.

Hmm you are literally set on fire when you play fire mage, or frozen in an iceblock.

This game doesn’t make a whole tone of sense in many regards. Tauren would instantly die irl with their anatomy…etc.

Gonna have to explain that one.

Blizzard deleted Frostfire Bolt because they reasoned that you would just be splashing the enemy with a cup of water. There is at least some level of reasoning there. Melee grenades don’t make sense.

It works just fine.

Hmmm There was a post, not sure if on wow forums or reddit a long time ago. Saying how Tauren on Earth Gravity would instantly be crushed to death based on their anatomy (bones) with their weight/meant and muscle structure.

Some times going into the realistic route will ruin things for you in many games. Like the way oversized weapons we all use. Or the clipping armor : 3. Much of the game’s armor isn’t’ very practical.

If the idea is to buff your teams damage then the end goal should be for the group to do more damage, overall. That isn’t necessarily what is happening.

Three DPS doing 100K DPS is 300K DPS.
Swap a DPS for an Aug doing 40K DPS and the Overall DPS is now 110k + 110k + 40k (260k).

By bringing an Aug you’re actually missing out on 40k DPS just to make the other two DPS feel better about themselves.

If this remains the case, it is actually a gigantic flaw with the entire premise of this spec. I don’t personally care, but it’ll be the Aug players that whine and complain season after season when they have zero representation in M+ leaderboards.

If your aug is only giving 10k more dps to dps that normally do 100k your evoker is just straight up horrible.

This. Also evokers provide additional dps and survivability to the tanks also

I was keeping the numbers simple and clean to demonstrate my point. Please, lets not get caught up on irrelevant details.

% damage to Tank still doesn’t compensate for the loss of taking an Aug Evoker. Survivability is… pretty much useless right? Healers do DPS for a reason.

When you check logs, the log captures additional damage added to the targets of the Augvoker to the Augvoker instead of being applied to the buffed targets, i.e Details

Augvokers are easily adding over 100k dps to the group, so I am unsure what point you are trying make.
