Please do not listen to people complaining about post nerf

As the title suggests, please do not listen to the people complaining that the raids are in the post nerf state. It was simply not enjoyable watching groups and guilds either dying off or just simply getting disheartened with how the content was in TBC before the nerfs.

If you want to argue that the classic player base wants the game to be easy, then be my guest, because yes, that is 100% the case. This is content that was released over a decade ago, and the vast majority of the player base just wants a chill and fun experience to play. If you want the content to be difficult, go do Sunwell when that comes out. Stop trying to force your idea of fun on everyone else when there will be raids for you.

Why? Because you can’t do it?

I don’t really care either way pre or post nerf but:

This exact same logic can be flipped that if you want easy content then there are raids for you.

I got to complete all the content prenerf in 2021-2022, i can say im happy not having to go through that again. Iv’e seen the calibur of player in Anniversary and its less than that of their classic 2019-2020 counterparts. I don’t think anniversary could handle some of the pre nerf bosses, esecially muru.

I agree! Post Nerf raids was the smart move by Blizzard. Easier raids, more players. Harder raids, less players.

When you post from a level 15 alt, your questioning of the skill of others becomes…questionable…

I don’t really care.

Pre nerf, post nerf, still gonna blast through it.

Post nerf just means more time to blast through on more characters.

Not all players are entitled to down every boss.

Maybe the idea of progging has such a negative connotation that some people just want to be able to clear every new content week 1 of its release.

There’s nothing wrong with having to prog on more difficult content. It puts game mechanics, player skill, raid composition, planning and many other factors into focus. Not everything has to be made easy. Some challenge can be fun too, provided that it’s clearable. The idea of wanting to do better in the next attempt is what makes it all worthwhile.

The big problem with this approach is the disparity between players.

Many players have been clearing this content for almost 20 years now. Everyone is not on the same page. Newer players are not going to get a fair shake in a pre nerf world when you can bring in the p server nerds that know it like the back of their hand.

The thrill of progression in tbc has been milked dry by now, so I understand the decision.

All I’m saying is having to stack warlocks on Muru because players can’t handle the void walkers and requiring same void walkers to hit the dps check isn’t fun for anyone. This is a positive change for the newbies and those that will be carrying them

Anni players are extremely skilled compared to those who played TBC when it was first released. They can handle pre nerf easily.

PTR isn’t up and the focus of this build seems to be on leveling to 70. Where are people getting this from? Or just yelling for attention on a hot button issue before it comes up?

Edit: Nevermind, I see the line in raid content section now.

You certainly don’t have to worry about this. They won’t. However, this dashes my hopes of TBC era.

My top memory of 2021 TBC Classic was killing Lady Vashj prenerf. I don’t like that other guilds died off, but i think there is are solutions that can appease both pre-nerf enjoyers and haters.

From my perspective, having progression, and overcoming a challenge as a raid group over a couple week period is one of the best feelings in WoW.

I think Blizzard can strike a balance where they do prenerf content for a few weeks, and communicate ahead of time prenerf being time bound. This way guilds that dont care for prenerf have a light at the end of the tunnel, and guilds that are wanting a challenge have the ability to have this experience too.

post nerf raids from day 1 is so funny, i remember going to vash after the nerf and literally couldn’t hit a single mob because every add was immediately slaughtered, we could have done it with 10 players, it was unironically easier than vanilla was

We had that balance last time, and it went terribly.

Sure they are better than in 2004, all the data has been out for decades. But I’ve seen how bad Anni players handled twin emps. It’s even worse with Naxx. All it takes one bad wipe to lose their world buffs and they crumble like a house of cards. Now imagine those same players dealing with pre nerf Gruul, Nightbane and Magtharidon. And it would only get worse for them with each phase.

This is one thing Blizz got right.

The "balance” last time was 2.5 months of prenerf Tier 5. Thats like 10 weeks, and players didn’t know when the end to prenerf was going to be. Why would the dad guild that is majorly struggling keep playing if they know they have to endure the struggle for an indefinite amount of time?

If Blizz were to communicate upon launch that prenerf is only for 4 weeks (as an example), it gives these guilds a light at the end of the tunnel. I think this would majorly mitigate the loss of players.
