I dont recall anyone moving from classic to tbc going “jeez i miss world buffs”

Of course there would be your min maxing speed clearing guilds with 20 warriors steam rolling content who miss them but i don’t think the game should be tailored towards this approach

I prefer to have world buffs, I posted this for SoM in Sept '21 regarding my tbcc at the time guildies comments:

When this news was posted on my (TBCC) guilds discord that’s what my guildies said, they prefer to have world buffs.

An example comment:
“1. I miss the high stakes aspect of world buffs.
2. Plus it felt like it made the community a bit tighter.
3. I miss the hordes of people in the cities.”

Plus other similar statements. I don’t expect any of my TBCC guildies to play on the fresh servers.

I see both good and bad sides to world buffs. Still, I plan to roll a new character on Classic fresh as these changes do not involve MTX which is my primary concern.

I’ll add to that that they add a lot of wpvp and rivalry content to the game and that is a good thing.

I agree one of the positives of world buffs is the community aspect
Apart from the poor sucker who drops an ony head off schedule and gets absolutely slaughtered

But i believe the cons outweigh this pro

Id hope blizzard could use this opportunity to discover a new community aspect that doesnt come with all the negatives of world buffs

LOL. If you were raiding at patch, you’d realize why getting WBs on a regular basis was not an option. I’ll give you a hint. It was time. Add on that we were on PvP servers. The losing side corpse hopped their way into the instance.

Make it so an NPC you can talk to in major cities where he gives you an consumable that you can use once every 24hours or along those lines. (Make it a gold sink or something)

Not sure what classic you guys played but the community aspect of getting world buffs? Getting summoned to DM and bee lining it to an NPC to get buffs, Sitting in org waiting for some random to drop his head on schedule, getting summoned to booty bay for the same thing and counting down from 5 to click on a songflower? that’s hardly good community gameplay.

You shouldn’t be able to kill a boss in under 15 seconds they either need to remove world buffs or buff raids to an extreme level which would suck if you lose your world buffs for any reason, Chrono boost was a step in the right direction but they need to change the world buff system entirely. Hopefully blizzard has some improvements in mind which i’m sure they will.

Even if you can chrono, it’s tedious AF to get them. Probably less so on a pve realm but on pvp I feared for my DM buffs every time.

When you die, whether to your own fault or another’s. Your raid is over, your fun is over, parse is over.

Either remove them or let us pop them like a flask. If I buy 15 rallying cry in a bottle for a lot of gold, I’d be down, if each buff was 250g from a vender only purchasable for a window after the heads been dropped? Awesome!

Zandalar buff after a hearts been dropped by spending zandalar honor tokens

Warchiefs blessing for gold after heads been dropped ( with an alliance version) ( or make it tradeable so it can go on the AH)

Diremaul buffs in a bottle by buying them in beer form from Stomper Kreeg after becoming King

Songflower by looting a Songflower Petal after picking a songflower.

I do think, if they keep them. Dragonslayer needs to be toned down. It’s bigger than any other wbuff. Maybe bring down the AP buff

Vanilla world buffs were released almost 20 years ago… how long should i wait? 30?

They havnt confirmed world buffs will be the same at 60 but with the level 25 buff there intention looks to be to have world buffs.

Now is the perfect time to have the discussion and not wait until its to late

Classic WoW raids are easy. You do not need world buffs to complete them. Don’t get the world buffs if you don’t like the “meta.”
