Maybe it is just me, but if the pre-patch is any indication of the readiness for the expansion, then it sorely needs to be delayed by several weeks to months.
Take your time, Blizzard. There are a lot of bugs, talents acting wonky, transmog bugs (unable to learn PvP ensembles, despite missing the items on them – because of “already known” bug), and a myriad of other issues.
Developers may be overworked, let’s take some more time on the expansion to get it ready for release.

The people that work on the prepatch are not the same that are working on the expansion. WoW has multiple teams that work in parallel. As such, different parts of the game will vary in quality and predictions can be misleading. It’s unfortunate, but that’s how it goes.

I’m sure the developers would love this. But the greedy hands running the show? Not so much.
Thank the Naaru! We are blessed by the light.
Lol, seriously this is like the most boring prepatch ever. I was going to level a couple of characters with it and I was so bored and none of the fomo rewards are even worth it.

Too late! Full steam ahead! Can’t stop. Won’t stop.

The beta builds being worked on for release and the (old) build shipped with prepatch are two very different things at this point.
that’s not to say everything has been remedied

I think they should have given themselves another month or so.
But at this point, delaying it now 2 weeks before launch would prob be a bigger mistake.

It would be a strange day indeed if they released a bug free patch/expansion.
I wouldn’t count on a delay short of a catastrophic event.

World of Warcraft: There Will Be Bugs
Can’t wait for the feedback from those who paid extra to get in early.

Me neither. BfA was totally fine, so was SL and Legion and their respective prepatches.
DF had a chaotic prepatch, a failed release day and the expansion itself released with tons of heavy major and minor bugs. And yet they didn’t learn their lesson and even doubled down by cutting the TWW alpha+beta short. The release date for TWW should’ve been much later.

Only if remix gets delayed too
Expansion delays aren’t going to happen at this point.
Bugs will always be a thing in any release. There’s literally no such thing as a bug free release.
They’re being addressed.

They should delay the launch until November, which will give them plenty of time to fix the issues that plague the Beta, and give them a chance to make even more of our hard earned cash by advertising the game as the perfect gift for Christmas.

Months, many months. The wildly high number of bugs we’re about to experience is going to be something that will be remembered for years to come. This expansion release will likely be the worst we’ve seen.

They literally could not delay the expansion short of God himself using divine intervention to stop them. They are already hard committed and legally bound to dates that were set. The lawsuits would be unfathomable (like class action big) not to mention the PR nightmare as every 2 bit hag with a blog shoots for their 2 seconds of fame.
The game can be released and be utter trash and broken as feces…but they never promised the QUALITY of the product…just that it would exist.
Nah, no need to delay. Let it rip.
Honestly the only issue i see is maybe some server stability and some minor side quest bugs. As long as the campaign quests are good to go then they are on track.
