Bumping, in hopes this will get seen and hopefully be able to influence Blizzard into preserving at least one or two TBC servers.
Like I said, even if we then have to deal with login queues again, at least we would HAVE the option of playing TBC. And honestly, if the population were indeed consolidated like that, it might make it easier to find groups. Especially once Wrath comes out, I imagine a LOT of players WILL migrate to Wrath.

Blizzard should consolidate classic servers by expansion and NOT progress each expansion.
There should be servers for each expansion, at least up to and including Pandaria.

if there was only 2 servers no one would log into an empty realm. i dont think login ques will be a problem with tbc era it probably wont result in any megaservers on era but they could easily add servers if populations start getting too big, and thats alot easier than deleting old realms.

there should be era realms for every expansion and then progressional seasons where u can leave your characters in era realms at the end of ever expansion. they could make so much money off clones this way.

I seriously hope Blizzard will give this further consideration. I still have some desire to experience TBC’s end-game, but at my own pace. At this point, I’ve just stopped playing completely, because it feels like a waste of time. Especially with the rampant “GDKP” runs, people are taking advantage of the situation where you can basically ONLY run content if you pay loads of gold.
And “who knows” where all that gold is ACTUALLY coming from…
Welp… still hoping Blizzard reconsidered, and keeps a TBC server or two up and running.

For the population there is, there needs to be 1 vanilla and 1 bc server, for PVE, and 1 and 1 for pvp. Nothing more.

I agree completely. The fact that they are not doing this is ridiculous.
It should also be possible to play Vanilla at any point and clone your character to the TBC server and at any point clone it to wotlk. Because why not?

Agreed 100% The clone system was amazing. Sadly they handled something seemingly well and decided to scrap it altogether…

If there is a Active TBC Server then I would love to experience it rather than being rushed to Wrath since it kind of feels like it and I just got started with TBC as a Blood Elf Paladin.
dude said again on twitter its not happening before wrath but potentially some point in the future
the clone system was soo good it makes no sense

Who specifically, just curious?
Difficult trying to keep tabs on everything!

Well I really, REALLY hope we can get Blizzard to preserve at least a FEW TBC servers. It seems absolutely insane to me that an entire expansion experience is about to get thrown out with the bath water.

While you’re at it, can you blow up The Dark Portal in Classic Era realms? Removing that eyesore would do wonders for the zone’s aesthetics.
Personally as soon as I heard they will not host permanent TBC realms I went back to classic and will not be playing WOTLK assuming they will destroy those realms too. Even though WOTLK is where I wanted to spend the rest of my days.
Blizzard has said they want to do TBC seasonal servers at some point, will there be no era server to transfer those characters to?
If classic can have its own servers why can’t TBCC and others have their own servers too? Heck, just cluster one of each type so there is some sort of population for Classic Era pve, pvp, rp, and rppvp. Just do this and you are set for Every expansion legacy type server for players to do Project guilds and what not.
