I agree with the OP and i articulated those concerns before as well. I like the affix change in general, but the entrance into high key pushing is now so hard that it prevents people from trying it.
I do not like the current situation where you can clear +10-11s on the first couple of weeks and then youâre walled on +12s until you get better gear and/or the desire to push them.
+11s just feel like theyâre the end keys for most.
Usually we donât wall on keys until a couple months into a season.
It mainly seems to just prevent people from inflating key numbers and we just have to adjust to a smaller scale.
What is the problem with the +12 affix? How is not fun or causing you issues in character progression?
You lose the weekly affix that buffs you and everything gets a +20% damage/health boost instead. Thereâs no sense of progression because youâre going from a +11 straight into basically a +15. Thereâs no +12, 13, 14, etc. key ranks to slowly move up as you get better gear each week.
Outside of Ara, Mist, and Dawn: most of the dungeons arenât timeable on a +12 or higher and/or can only be done by the top 0.01% title push teams.
Gear is the biggest gate atm. Itâs impossible to do some of these dungeons on a +13 simply because youâll get one shot by AOEs without defensives. You need at least iLvl 630 to survive.
Itâs just a weird sense of progression. Were on week 2 and people have all timed +11s, but donât bother doing +12s because theyâre too hard. What else are we going to do for the other 5 months of the season? I usually donât start raid logging until itâs half way through the season.
I did a couple 22s in DF, but I donât ever see myself doing anything beyond an 11 with the new system.
What did you think of S1 DF? Title was low there.
Wall shouldâve been hit by most people then.
As we can see, the +12 affix were a bit too extreme, hence the nerf
