Please Change +12 affixes they are absolutely ridiculous

Yes I’d agree I’d take any affix over 15s death penalty. I’d take Explosive back over 15s death penalty. But the long running issues for high level M+ has been that some weeks were not “push” weeks so the 12+ affix being the same every week was Blizz’s way to address this, which I think is totally fine in my opinion EXCEPT for the 15s time loss for deaths.

What does 15s time loss matter for 12+? Make it easier, and your score has less value. It’s rather irrelevant.

And for lower, maybe people shouldn’t be corpse running their key to the timer.

Score does matter to many people, as it is earned. My main point is how do 2 affixes become added at +12 and not the normal ‘we’ll add 1 affix’… Their decision makes 0 sense. You lose your 20% buff (or CD reduction week, which is the MOST enjoyable buff) and the mobs get buffed an extra 20%? They need to make up their mind and stop trying to handicap key pushing, Just because the best team in the entire world can die 30 times in a +20 and still time it, DOES NOT have anything to do with 99% of us. Even title holders. This is there answer to watching top streamers pushing the top keys, as always.
And yes the 15 second penalty is atrocious, but as i said i would almost accept it, if we were not already so severely punished upon reaching 12. Let us keep the buff at the bare minimum and i would accept 15 seconds, as ridiculous as it is. We’re already dealing with double fortified. I don’t think people realize this. Every season since Shadowlands people scream ‘this is the easiest season’ and somehow still end up under 3k, so i disagree.

We’re still in the M+ is hard phase. Give it like 3 weeks, and dungeons will be nerfed cumulatively 50%.

And I’d rather a functional xal’atath affix than a flat 20% on everything. But that too creates push weeks and not.

Because for those of us who completely pug keys, as OP also said, one person will die and someone will instantly leave. This has been my experience with high lvl M+ pugging for a LONG time, BEFORE the 15s time loss. This will just make it worse. I’ve had keys where we were on time, almost to the last boss, one person dies, and then someone just leaves even though we would have timed it with that one death.

Like 95% of my keys are pug, and I feel you.

But that’s divorced from the penalty. People will leave perfectly timeable keys. Even with 15s time loss, keys are still timeable.

A valid point, as they have already slowly trickled in nerfs, but idk about a full 50%, but i get your point lol. Also valid point @Grubzorz, its just a guarantee for people to leave weather we wipe on first boss, first trash pack, third boss, you name it. Especially if their from a certain server/realm :joy: (IYKYK)
Same i also pug 95% of keys, hence the 15 seconds isn’t targeting the group it was meant to aka top 0.00001%

Had a tank that INSISTED the week was tyrannical.

(Because they were pulling like it was.) I left after realizing they didn’t know how to check current affixes for the week and refused to admit they were wrong.

I don’t think the 15s penalty targets anyone, just alleviates failing upwards.

why on EARTH are you complaining about this? this is finally how m+ should be and you are still complaining? no affixes, punishable death as it should be and a real challenge with both tyrannical and fortified…

people wownt ever stop crying even if this change at 12+ and above literally caters to the elitist crybabies…

my god these people…

I do like the change they made by making +10s and +12s harder. It means you have to put less overall work in a season climbing up the ranks to get the title.

It also makes timing all +10s actually rewarding and not just a check box like KSM.

If anything +14s and 15s will probably be title keys.

15s as title makes it sounds like that will be within puggable territory more than where meta takes over.

The failure rate on +10s is already very high because a +10 is really like a +12 because of the Fortified bonus.

+12s are really like +14-15s because of the extra +20% health.

A +15 (with current scaling) is really out of reach for pugs, but iLvl does make a difference.

Once everyone is 630+ iLvl a +10 will feel more like a +8-9.

The +10s I’ve done (way over time usually) have people that might not even time a 9.

Weekly no leaver stuff.

High key pushers complained about the variance from week to week, since some weeks were push weeks and some weeks you just did something else. Blizzard made all high keys the same every week so now every week is a push week.

There’s still variance with the new weekly affix because the buffs benefit some specs more then others.

Weekly affix goes away at 12 and just becomes a flat 20% damage and health increase to mobs and bosses, which is what the OP is talking about.

Somehow people are going way off script and missed the point entirely lol. Clearly my ONLY real complaint is losing our buff upon going into +12’s and beyond. Makes the game boring.

It’s intentional because high key pushers were complaining about the variance of high keys between weeks. Few people are geared enough to push a 12 or beyond at the moment so we will see if Blizzard changes their mind later.

Guess i missed the survey or as usual only the 10 elitists get to vote because i wasn’t complaining. All we needed to do was get rid of Sanguine and Bolstering, that was it. Raging wasn’t even that bad. Sure the week to week same tyran/fort sounds like an update, but its irrelevant when you remove the actual punishing affixes. Combining Tyran and Fort somehow lead to “Lets punish them as much as we can, since affixes have been complete trash for years now”. Let’s give them a taste of a buff, then take it away from them. They get lazier and lazier each year having to tune things

I think the plan was to get rid of the idea of “push weeks”. Every week is the same difficulty now (at 12+), so you can more reliably push high keys and gauge your progress from week to week without worrying about what affix was up this week.
