Basically once you go from +11 to +12, it will actually feel like a +15. Why are high key pushers being punished with no fun and ridiculous circumstances? We not only lose our fun Stat boost/CD reduction affix, we LOSE that much haste/crit/mast upon entering the dungeon, while also dealing with an EXTRA stacked double fortified??? We like to pump, so why do +12’s bring us back to classic WoW on steroids? Shadowlands, the last time affix’s were actually fun, every key level still gave you a power boost. Why are we forcing players to not get to enjoy stat boosts? We already get a 20% extra health/dmg from mobs + fortified so 40% extra health, but no extra damage or fun rotations for the damage meter? On top of that, when you get one shot from the ultra buffed mobs, you are punished 3x as much with the new 15 second death penalty. That is ridiculous. This is going to cause players to instantly leave after the first wipe, guaranteed. You are ruining the high M+ community with these changes. In DF when we wiped, there was still hope of timing the key, now, we will just leave because we’ve already wasted 20+ minutes in the dungeon, why bother wasting another 20 minutes. Please think of these silly changes and at least give us the buff in +12s or take away the extra 20% health/dmg. Although every single player in existence would rather keep the buff so we can still have a reason to go into +12s and not be bored out of our mind. Thanks.
I will say I’m not a fan of the very bumpy progression of keys with the new set up.
Having every key level be a predictable ~10% increase made it so much more comfortable to know what you can handle and be confident in.
3 to 4 is a massive jump because of tyrannical. Then the fort bump and the 12 bump. The key squish exacerbates it further. Not sure what they were thinking.

I can agree the 15s lost per death is stupid. There are some keys where the timer is so tight, that losing 15s will brick the key. There are also some strats that revolve around dying. Honestly, though, I like the idea that the affixes are the same at high key levels every week, since there would be weeks where I wouldn’t even touch M+ because of the affixes for that week.
Yeah I don’t understand that decision. I thought it would be fine if fights were actually rot and not omega spiky like they are. You can die so easily and fast rn
And if Blizzard doesn’t want strats around dying, penalizing it sounds like a good start.
It was already extremely punishing.
5 seconds and losing DPS, having to run back, etc etc. Or during a boss.
They should’ve doubled the amount of brez if they added 15s to deaths
There is already a penalty for dying. You have limited brezes, so if you have no brez and die on a boss, you can’t release and it will take much longer. Also, if your group wipes, not only did you (used to be lost 25 seconds) but you also lost more time running back to where you were. Now you lose 1 minute 15 seconds AND have to run back. Seems excessive. I didn’t 2 chest a 10 last night because 3 people died, it’s absolutely absurd. 45 seconds lost for nothing, should have only been 15 seconds. It’s not like they’ve balanced the timers to be longer.
Imagine complaining about not getting +2 in a key, early on in the season.

Challenger’s peril takes the place of a real affix so people can claim mastery over easier content.
Imagine giving input on high M+ keys but you’re too afraid to show your main on the forums.
There’s a reason I don’t post on my main so I don’t end up with a post count of 24 like you. I like having a easily traceable forum history.

Some of us actually just enjoy rather playing the game than posting 8,800 times on the forums. But Blizzard loves to listen to people like you, instead of people who actually play the game like me. I really only look at the forums on my downtime. Also, I don’t feel the need to respond to every single post I see, I do this thing called reading where I see what people are writing about without responding.
I’m sure you have swapped mains over the course of the game, and actually have thousands of posts.
You don’t even have cutting edge. You do have the Insane so you really like wasting time.

Lets calm it down, as this is for discussing +12 affix, not bashing ‘mains/alts’ or boasting raid achievements, its for M+ and for others to rant on about it like myself
I’ve complained about the +12 affix in the past because it leaves m+ with an unchanging game mode. Apparently, that’s what people wanted hahahaha.
I’ve written in the past, Blizzard will remove affixes for one season, then add them back in due to plummeting participation.
Everything at 12+ is just for score, so making it easier doesn’t matter. It has less value.
Well my issue is that +10’s do matter, and the affix where you lose 15 seconds per death starts at +7 keys. OP’s whole post centers around the fact that you’re losing 15 seconds per death instead of 5. I’m sure OP would agree that if the 15 seconds penalty was removed, it would be much better.
I’d rather a real affix than mastery over easier content.
