The Imperfect Asendancy Serum has me itching for them as a playable race. We have 3 Dwarves now, I would kill to play as a Nerubian. Especially Neutral/multiple classes. Casting spells on my lock, and healing as my monk I love the models and really hope they are a playable race at some point. The animations look great, the models are amazing, I really wanna heal, tank, and dps as this race. Just tossing my post into the bucket in hopes we can possibly see them (hopefully soon) in the future.

They use the Dracthyr skeleton so it’s very possible in the future! Azj’kahet also has the vibes of Suramar…

The Mantid explicitly still worshipped the Old Gods. The Nerubians whole schtick is that they didn’t. And Ansurek betrayed them by going against that by following the Harbinger.

They also mentioned the Kobyss are related to the Ankoan. So the Alliance might get the fishies from Nazjatar with an upgraded model in a future patch. I don’t think Sethrak will ever happen, but it’d be neat. I want more beast-people on the Horde.
It would be nice to have a few more. I still don’t know why we needed yet another Dwarven race. It’s cool you can play them on Horde though. I’ll give them that. More neutrality is always welcome.

I think Dracthyr presented a really good template for how to handle a race like this. Give them a “Visage” form that uses an ordinary body that shows most armor fine, and a “combat” form that lets you do whatever weird stuff you want.
Except Y’shaarj was dead before that tree was planted.

I’m 50/50 on the Visage form. If I could choose my combat form, that’d be cool. I’m only a Dracthyr Evoker cuz I had to be. I’d probably have chosen another race tbh. They’re not bad, but I kinda like my Visage form/armor and it’s a shame to just pop Dragon with shoulders.
As for the Ascended I’m not sure they’d have another form to go into. Which honestly I’m fine with them as is. Let’s go spider people! Judging by the lore/quests it’s also very clear that we are not enemies to the Nerubians either and further gain their trust showing compassion, and mainly aiming for Xal’atath.

Not going to happen because then the >1% playerbase is going to ask for Blizzard to make an arachnophobia mode crab race too.
Fine but if you’re on your ascended nerubian and you come anywhere near Xalatath, you get permanently mind-controlled and you lose the character.
It made me chuckle, so I’ll give you a solid 7/10 score. 3 were deducted for historical inaccuracy. Enjoy your 7 internet points.
