Please bring back glide spam

Glide spam with the little jump everytime is such a small thing that isn’t broken, yet it brings so much joy to the players. Extremely sad that it was hotfixed.

Agree 100%. For some players this is massive, I don’t raid, I don’t M+, my main joy of the game is just playing in the world and ‘getting around’. This is something I really got used to in just a week and not that it’s gone the class is feeling extremely immobile…

This IS a big deal. This was something we’ve used all this time on beta and then on live.

Now because some demon hunters WHO CAN DOUBLE JUMP BY THE WAY complained we get an OBJECTIVELY WORSE glide?

No dice. I’m PISSED!

Nerf it for pvp like give it a higher CD or something…

But leave it available for PvE Blizzard.

It hurt nobody.

(Maybe adjust interaction with other slowfalls instead for PvE)

Absolutely bring back how it was. It feels super clunky now.

Or heck give us a double jump to compensate.

It wasn’t even considered OP in PvP, honestly I think Blizzard truely making the wrong decisions, let players have fun for once especially if it doesn’t harm or effect anyone else.

I’m gonna guess the next time they announce bugfixes they will probably at least mention the change (if they even bother lol). It was super fun to just do while Soar was on cd

I’m confused… what was changed? I played Evoker on beta, and on live it feels the same to me. They did nerf the DH glide, that no longer glides, it just slow falls… At first I was unhappy with the Evoker glide, but then I played my DH and the Evoker glide is better… but it’s only because it’s not as good as the original DH glide and they nerfed that so that it feels terrible now.

This was done months ago though… I’m able to jump and glide repeatedly on live, unless i’m missing some bug that people abused to keep yourself airborne or something.

It had a little mid air hop to it that would lift you up almost as high as you fell each GCD. Abusing this let people nearly fly very slowly if you started with any altitude.

Slower then a mount, but way faster then non Dracthyr could run in places like a BG. Fun in open world for distance hopping between hills or something, exploitative in some content.

The upward hop was removed.

So people found a way to abuse something that most others didn’t even notice was a thing. So they removed the exploit and now people are yelling NERF when they knew that it was being exploited anyway?

smdh

If something is being exploited, it will be fixed. It’s not a nerf if it was broken. People will complain about anything these days.

How did not every evoker notice this was a thing? After 1 minute of just jumping around in the starter zone I saw people doing this and thought it was normal

it should be normal …
Like we have wings lol

just nerf it in pvp …

Whoever the dev was who did this class “fix”/“nerf”/“balance” whatever they want to call it…

I hope your turkey day food goes bad and burns damnit.

"Oh lets give players dragons!..
And then not let them act as dragons and fly/glide around. "

The thought process of this is mind boggling. Why have them in? There is more choice and direct curse words I’d rather use but, the devs have a fragile psyche so god forbid we disrupt that.

And I get it the class will be “balanced” but this is just stupid when its a damn class with wings…bunch donkeys in that office.

I stand by my statement that the issue is needing to racially balance Dracthyr because of the open “maybe” on letting them be other classes. That “maybe” needs to be a “no”, with some sort of wingless version (Dracthyr skeleton draconid? idk) being an allied race that can be old classes.

Then Dracthyr could stop being so heavily gimped despite having wings

So really … by your original statement … this was or could be a problem in PvP… but not so much PVE

Therefore, Blizzard and their infinite wisdom should’ve changed this for PVP not PVE. Yet somehow… they seem to ignore that, don’t want to do it make changes that way, OR could care less. Even though Ion’s all “that really hurts when they say we don’t care or don’t listen because we do!” Which we all know is B.S.

Blizzard dev’s lie like Politicians. Once my subs ran out, I’m done. The incompetency and pure laziness of this company never fails to astound me. Yet it shouldn’t a company that makes so much money knows… well they can get away with it because a few people here or there quitting doesn’t hurt them in the big scheme of things.

most i could do was use it to style on people, slightly higher than before. As soon as I got slowed or CC’d I drop. it wasn’t broken, but people are like “oh but it was a bug, so it HAD to be patched”
No it doesn’t, and for all we know it wasn’t even a bug, just something DH complained, because they wanted to be the aerial kings and queens… they who don’t even have wings all the time. Evokers lost a big appeal of the gameplay fun…

It’s a very minor thing that Dracthyr could do that is hardly considered an exploit, but makes people very happy that you could do it. Why remove something so small and if it makes so many people unhappy.

People will bash anything they don’t understand themselves these days.

the benefits it had… gliding over the chasm in EotS to take a short cut from GY to flag, jump off a bridge and cut a corner, where warriors could easily catch up and lock me down.
or perhaps, I could glide from the top of Twin Peaks spawn and land just passed the bridge, not quite keeping up with the mounted players, but I could at least fly over (granted if anyone actually looked up and shot me out of the sky, I’d fall)
Float above people for a few seconds, within even melee range, while I get a few Azure strikes in, flap, azure strike, flap, azure strike, land.
aaand… I think that’s really about it.

How is this an exploit? If it was really an “exploit” then get rid of it in INSTANCES like the glider(s). This was a MASSIVE mobility perk of being a dragon. Hover “dashes” are beautiful, this was the cherry on top – now we’re just “fel rushing” dragons, that don’t do damage when we fel rush…

Also, SNORE, like every OTHER class out there, we have a “slow fall” ability/bind.

Yeah that nerf was uncalled for. It was very fun and I thought it was intended. It existed throughout beta and release… it’s weird to randomly call it a bug. Demon hunters had height, we had distance…

Sucks… blizzard doesn’t read the forums.

Them ignoring extremely popular threads like worgen tails. Why would they care about things like flight mode for dracthyr, let soar function like dragon riding, and restore our glide momentum.
