Please bring back faction pride

You have yet to provide evidence of why faction pride would be beneficial

Nah, it was kind of forced and cringe. :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

They are an inconvenience. The faction “war” has been an overdone contrived point since Wrath. It should be gone entirely at this point.

Blizz would care about PVP if the majority of the player base did. It is as simple as that.

guess you dont know much about the pvp player base do you?? huh?? huh?? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You do realize the factions have had to come together to kill the big bad guy since BC, right?

Turn on Warmode and wave your faction pride flag all you want. Why is that not good enough? Could it be, not enough people interested in PVPs to make it fun?

Ah, I figured it was time for another “Put the War back in Warcraft” thread. Haven’t had one of those for about [checks watch] 6 hours.

without putting too much thought into this, I believe that the following could be the most radical change to WoW since conception and also a viable way to bring back the golden ages of true Alliance VS Horde.

The idea:

let players choose faction regardless of race.

simple as that. no more needs to be said.

agree or disagree, whatever. but if you dont overthink it, it is really the be-all-end all- solution.

I miss Garrosh. He was hot headed and young and had a lot of issues to work out, but he did more for The Horde than any other Warchief did.

He aimed to stomp the Horde flags across Kalimdor in an effort to make The Horde more self sufficient, and he did.

He used the Undead to carve out the upper half the Eastern Kingdoms for The Horde, and succeeded, albeit more to Sylvanas and her efforts, but he ordered the campaign.

Garrosh made The Horde a powerhouse rather than an underdog faction of loosely banded misfits. A shame his story ended the way it did, he was The Hordes best Warchief.

The game is definitely missing something without it. Especially for Horde players. And I feel there is a way to have friction or pride and still have cross-faction stuff. Because in reality not everyone is gonna agree with everyone. And tension can exist without all out war. Pride can exist without all out war. It doesn’t have to be complete assimilation. That would just make everything boring.

All the Horde vs Alliance ever added to the PVE story was this…

Horde attacks. Alliance wins everything after and deposes the Horde leader.

Vocal Alliance players can’t stomach losing or their side doing something bad.

Classic is waiting for you.

You do know he thought your race was trash, same for most races outside of Orcs and Taurens. People keep praising him but forget he divided the Horde more than any Warchief. All in all he was a terrible Warchief and cannon wise we lost most of that land in the end.

Frankly if we look at strength the Alliance should have killed the Horde many times over by now. It is only for game play reasons that the Horde is allowed to still exist.

Exactly.
This AINT real pvp. Its gear grinding and tab targeting.
You…they…we…can pretend its pvp, but it just isnt. Not in the real way pvp has always been…SKILL matters, not how much time you can put into grinding gear, etc.

and yes, I read your entire post. This point is all I care about.

So much all of this. My very first issue with this game was that I picked a troll and my friend was a gnome. The game actually got easier when my friends quit now I just play whichever race I feel like. Spent so much time rerolling because oh suddenly everyone I know is on the other side.

I liked the everquest treatment of faction. One race was universally hated and hated everyone else. Always thought they really missed by not doing that to undead.

I agree with you and also want to say I even believe mmo’s, in general, are dead. We have not seen even come close to wow is at. And anything new comes out is barely heard, if at all.

We call that “bad writing”. The writing has been so one sided in favor of the Alliance for so long. They can only counter this with even more bad writing. Pretending like all the demogods of the Alliance are just dumb or not around.

The entire core plot point of the entire Warcraft universe post Warcraft 2 is that the horde and alliance need to come together to save Azeroth.

How have you not picked up on that yet?

We could have both. The horde and alliance can continue to hate and kill one another.

Our toons are supposed to be adventures, not soldiers. We should be able to play with others regardless of faction.

Died with Garrosh and Varian.
Honestly, accepting Sylvanas as Horde warchief was the nail in the coffin. This woman is a zombified High Elf, leading a bunch of zombified Lordaeron humans; the two major factions responsible for defeating the Horde in WC2 and literally putting them in camps.
