I legitimately want to know why TSM is okay and the enchanting thing isn’t? I guess it’s the old ‘I am losing so resort to name calling’ thing.

Hell I love that auto invite I get my chants insta done now between 1-3 chanters I just link the chant i want from atlas loot and BAM found me a chanter. I thank you sir

- 99% of people use and basically have always used something like this… TSM, Auctioneer, Auctionator, etc.
- Apples and oranges comparison to begin with… these addons are for better organizing the AH… more akin to profession organization addons in this sense.
The real comparison to an AH “addon” would be auto snipers. You post below a threshold and its instantly sniped

if he truly was angry at the fact that people were stealing business from him, then he would just use the addon.
but the addon is not within ToS and should not be used in game. I feel the same way.
Personally, i don’t care about doing enchants for gold. I have enough gold but I find it obnoxious that i get 25 different whispers when i look for an enchant in trade chat on one of my alts.

Wish someone would make an addon like that for dungeon groups but instead you get 25 whispers from tanks wanting to come!

Protecting the functions used will break almost every addon that reads chat. And making the invite function protected is going to be difficult as well. So what he’s requesting is almost impossible without actually pissing off 90% of the WoW TBC community.
They really don’t want to make all 15 of us mad either!

There are quite a few, some of them got banned due to various reasons … I am personally using GroupBulletinBoard atm.

Meanwhile I got atleast 2 more people making tickets against me last night that will most likely amount to nothing. If I or anyone I know gets banned for this I will post here. But I very much believe that bliz doesnt consider this a bot anymore than TSM.
IF they messed w/ the chat api (highly doubt they would). If bliz went the path of breaking the api rather than just adding velums … it would prob be to make “invite” require a hardware event … which wouldn’t totally fix things cause people would still get whispers.
They could conceivably make whispers require a hardware event similar to how they made talking in trade require a hardware event … but doing so would break so so many raid utils that the backlash would be worse then when they banned isboxer.
Naw, gut feel is bliz does nothing. Only people complaining are the vocal minority, the majority of the playerbase actually likes what I do (which is why Mastalock is so mad in the first place … it works). And in the event that bliz did want to act on this … the proper solution is velums.

Guys it’s not automation, I’m simply using the tools provided to me in game. “I’m totally scanning each page myself, and taking note of all the prices mentally, the addon just allows me to do so quickly. The addon doesn’t buy the item for me, pff, that’s be automation.”

If you would read the posts above, we also debated and summarized why your addon is “automation” and should not be allowed in the game.
Its not an IF … I did read them, and the summarization of “why your addon is “automation” and should not be allowed in the game” was largely opinions based upon ignorance of how existing addons work, what has been allowed / disallowed in the past, and crying that its not fair because they said so.
So your saying you ASKed in Trade chat for people to whisper you … and are mad that you got what you asked for nearly INSTANTLY rather than spread out over the course of 5m? Since when is getting what you want (exactly what you want) faster than normal … annoying?
Truth is, its not really annoying you … its just shocking to you because its something that you have never seen before.
Saying it is annoying is like saying Mages in Kargath providing ports ruined your dream of a 15m flight path and a 5m Zep ride back to Org

Not true at all. I can feel his narcasissism from here. He’s clearly self righteous and believes that those who are using this addon are cheaters, and since he believes it to automation, more than likely views it as no better than botting.
He’s big mad enough to come make a forum post, get dragged through the mud, and instead of admitting fault and admitting that the addon isn’t automation, he goes and ignores the creator the addon to protect his own little bubble and to double down on wanting to be in an echo chamber.
