I’m ready, we all are!
Right, let’s just cannibalize the player base some more lol. They need to stop doing gimmick season nonsense and just focus on making a single classic server that roates through vanilla and tbc with resets every few years.
With Era servers for all 3 Classics. I won’t lose my characters once again.
Two TBC era realms is all that’s needed. PVP and PVE. A place we can play the version we want without the risk of losing our characters. Ty
I never understand this argument, because the majority of people that would want to play tbc only wouldn’t be playing wow now and most people playing wow these days generally play more then one version of wow.
From the youtube and twitch people that I have seen is the vibe I have gotten.
I mean is this wrong? I have been away since p2sod only just bought wow time to play some classic.
At the end of the day, I really wish blizzard would just come out and say something about it. If they have no plans todo anything then would be nice for them to come out and say “we have no plans on a classic/tbc server in the next 12months and will re-review then” atleast would be some info.
Yeah the cannibalise your players argument is junk. People who want TBC aren’t playing SoD.
Exactly. We aren’t playing Cata either. I’d wager most of us (the players who want TBC) are playing Era or are unsubbed.
I do agree I would like some semblance of a response from Blizzard.
I love playing Era, but would love TBC Era more…
It is nice to see that the TBC army is still going strong, even after many people have let their subs lapse.
Over the summer I made an account for my wife after reading that trading/mail was disabled on new accounts for 30 days. I figured if Blizz saw the light and started an unchanged TBC server, I wanted to be ready. It would be horrible to start playing and not be able to trade items. Then I goofed around on it every so often until the time ran out (60 days).
Some observations:
I played Alliance on Era for a little while and then I played a Horde toon on Cata. Everywhere I went on Era (from level 1 to 21), I saw other players and once the 30 days was up, I was able to make money on the Auction House. It was a good experience.
When I went to play on Cata, the beginning zones were EMPTY! I rarely ever saw anyone else. And at first, it was hard to make any money using the Auction House at a low level. It didn’t bother me much, since I was just leisurely playing, but it did make buying bags and skills a little difficult sometimes.
In the main cities too, I saw plenty of players on Era, yet on Cata it was a ghost town. The original world (as disgusting as it had become in Cata) was irrelevant now.
As good as Era is, I would still love to have a TBC server. Even though Outland took people out of Azeroth and had Shattrath, the original cities still had relevance (Auction House) and leveling wasn’t at lightning speed so you still saw people out in the world.
After watching all of the supportive posts over the summer for TBC, It seems logical that Blizzard should throw up a TBC server or two (pve/pvp). I would see a few new posts a week supporting this.
Blizzard, go for it!
well,
-you still had to go back to azeroth to use auction house.
-new characters still had to level thru azeroth to get to outlands.
-some quests in outlands, went back to azeroth.
-professions still require you to level them up on azeroth before you can level them in outlands
-tier sets from vanilla naxx, best in slot for many levels into outlands
This still needs to happen
We are here, we are waiting…
Trying to play retail but just not feeling it… there’s no soul, it’s overwhelming for a returning player, and I don’t enjoy retail resto druid. Would love a fresh TBC server to start over on. I’m Aussie but would deal with US ping and time zone if I could go back to TBC.
I feel this. I play through every expansion but feel overwhelmed with all the new systems they’ve added. But I think the big thing for me is the lack of community. I could log on my server and never see the same player twice. It’s like you’re playing alone but with other people around you, if that makes sense.
I miss the days where you knew everyone on your server, even the other faction.
I don’t have any terribly fond memories of TBC, but I am curious for those who want it, do you want a fresh TBC server not attached to any other server (no transfers), or do you want the option to transfer your current 60 from Classic Era to it? I would play if it was fresh 1-70 that won’t be connected to any other realm and won’t allow transfers to ruin the economy.
I’d prefer fresh, plus I think it has the best chance of being greenlit. Blizzard just has to drop a server and do nothing else.
Definitely has to be fresh. Can’t have 60s bringing over 100k+ gold and everyone having epic flyers as soon as possible.
my gripe is how professions in retail were reinvented, including adding level and ilvl requirements to things like enchants. its so messed up that by the time you can use some of them, your gear has already exceeded usable ilvl . and this effected more than just enchants, for example, belt buckles have a minimum player level to use but by the time you reach that level, your gear ilvl has already exceeded max ilvl use. essentially belt buckles are now false advertising
DUDE! absolutely 1 - 70! no transfers or purchase of instant “name that lvl”. Also perma-server. Not lvling for the thousandth time just to lose everything again
I’m all for a completely fresh TBC realm too. I’m already fed up with how difficult retail is and toxic the players are. I got kicked from a heroic raid guild group on our first night of doing heroic because my healing was sub-par when I was trying to learn mechanics on our first night of doing heroic raid for The War Within. I told them when I joined 3 weeks ago doing normal raids with them (they said they were newbie friendly) that I (1) never healed before, (2) never did a heroic raid before and the last raid I did was the first 2-3 bosses of Legion’s first raid. I want to go back to when classes were simpler and boss mechanics are simpler. I know I’m not a great player, but I still want to enjoy playing and Vanilla/TBC are more my cup of tea before Wrath introduced challenge modes and eventually heroic mode. I haven’t given a single thought to what role or class I would play since it seems silly of me to research when we don’t know Blizzard’s plans yet.
