So you know the difference, and know Blizz’s stance you just don’t like how the software works and don’t think they should be allowed. I understand, don’t agree but I gotcha
Difference between now and 2004 is the accessibility to multiple accounts and computers that can play them.
The only thing that stopped me from multiboxing before was I didn’t have a capped account with no sign the cap was going to be raised lol. Capped my account and wanted more characters, what were my options? Delete a character? Not an option, make another account Why stop there?
Oh. Yeah, anything that automates gameplay besides the multi-boxer programs is certainly botting. There’s more people botting than just multi-boxers, but hopefully blizz will have time to look into it and drop another round of ban waves on those scumbags.
100%
This isn’t some hill I’m wanting to die on…I just personally think it’s a P2W advantage that disrupts the integrity of the game and would like to see more restrictions put in place.
I get others disagree, and I welcome it,.
Ironically I multibox. I have a starter account for Party Sync and a second account that I use for raid lockouts to get the most out of mount farms. My one and only gripe is in anything that lets you interact w/ multiple instances of the game at the same time.
One person shouldn’t be able to control 64…
SIXTY-FOUR
characters at once and have them all be able to kill and move and loot at the same time with 1 button press
Why not?
By the way, I’m impressed if someone is controlling that many people. I do all that I can with two.
Before Legion this argument would have been fine but with the token you can’t really argue P2W since you can get anything a multiboxer can get with gold.
Before I started multiboxing I would always refer to myself as an alt commander, now my joke after all those years has blossomed and I command several characters at once
every multiboxing thread:
Honestly, people. It’s like you woke up one day and decided it should be illegal to wear t-shirts in public. The police don’t agree with you, judges don’t agree with you, and prosecutors don’t agree with you. But rather than accept that maybe you’re wrong, you devote the rest of your life to a letter-writing campaign to convince them all that you’re the only one who truly understands just how illegal it is.
I look at multi-boxing as someone that took wow and turned it into a game like Planescape Torment.
It would be cool if someone created an addon though, so that the other toons would do talk like that one quest where you raise the people from SFK and go around doing different quests and they randomly talk about stuff.
That would be my dream addon right there.
That could be made but you can’t send out automated chat to certain channels, namely: Say, Yell, and the Blizz created standard channels like General, Trade, LFG. So it would just be party chat or guild chat but yeah it would be possible to make an addon for your alts to have prescripted conversations and respond to each other based on what was said.
I think it’d be pretty funny, like how warlock demons say stuff to the warlock lol
At the very list they could just nerf all the hyper spawns
Why do you want them to nerf us? we pay just like you each month, in fact we pay way more if we get the 6 month sub, this hate for us boxxers is silly and gets old seeing this for many years as a subscriber.
You can still multibox without the software that allows you to do several things at once. Multiboxing like this does nothing but make it so that normal, one character players, cannot complete in the economy
I multi-box with two toons and only gather for my personal use. How is that a detriment to the overall WoW economy?
Better question, why do you need software that repeats all your key clicks to another account if you are just using it for a two box and mining?
i know it , you know it , everyone knows it
Because the software makes things more efficient. And efficiency last time I checked, wasn’t a bad thing.
haha, botting is more efficient also…
