Please ban Key Repeaters like ISBoxer for Mulitboxing

And if the above article is to long…

Here is the tl;dr

Thank you for this. That thread was interesting though. I’ve never seen so many people liking their own posts in their alts before.

Considering the guy that wrote ISBoxer has flat out said it’s designed to be a bot and not to come whining to him if you get banned…

It’s specifically against terms of service to use in other games(I know of at least one that will ban you immediately if it’s running), why Blizzard lets this specific one be used is beyond me.

And I’ve been known to multibox. The hard way. With multiple monitors, clients, and a lot of tabbing between them.

Only certain third party programs that violate the EULA are prohibited. A blanket ban on third party programs would be silly.

Can you get a link to that statement?

I tried looking for it but when I saw said statement it was almost a decade ago so who knows. On its forum.

It’s use is banned as botting in EVE Online, for one, and it contains quite a few automated features. SOE also banned it’s use back when I found that statement but it’s unknown to me now if Darkpaw games does or does not allow it.

Not everything that multiboxers do is bottling, quite a bit of it is available through add-on API.

I have two mods for Wow for multiboxing. One of them causes slave accounts to mount when the master does, for example, and iirc it automates quest reward selection. Automatic quest accept and turn in is also possible.

You can clone keystrokes with other software and not need ISBoxer for it. I would recommend against paying for something that has the potential of getting you banned, personally. Multiboxing is allowed, but Blizzard can change it’s stance on anything at any time.

Cause ‘banning’ something on your computer is like being a government.

I became curious. Reckon if war breaks out with China, wow will ban commies?

97% of all ‘facts’ are made up on the fly…77.8% of all people know that…

sure ya did…sure it is.
‘on a forum’ was it? so NOT official and not even verifiable that it WAS actually the same guy.
You DO know I can make a forum account and CLAIM to be Obama, right?

This aint EVE online…no one here literally cares.

yeah…Jamba does that…it aint automation.
Playing your game for you…automation.

so some features of the app might violate the ToU…DONT USE those features.

uh huh…they updated their ‘take a hike’ statement on boxing two weeks ago.
Too bad…so sad…

multiboxers have no ethics

I made something for some of the anti-multi-boxers.

I don’t think that is true at all. I don’t think I have seen a single multi-boxer spread lies or misinformation about multi-boxing. Though I have seen the opposite sentiment from a decent number of anti-multi-boxers.

“I don’t bot, trust me”

Guaranteed truth!

At least multiboxers are working within the rules of the game unlike the anti-multiboxers who keep spamming the forums with their alts.

So… you’re an anti-multiboxer?

someone with multiple accounts is more suspect to me just don’t like the whole idea of it

You agreed that Blizzard can scan your computer in the ToU.

Let’s say that this is all true for the sake of argument. Would there be any issue while having this stance if a player was able to do the same things via

  • Hardware
  • Keybinds
  • Macros

Especially if the player is able to get the same results?

No, now stop crying.

Its not that difficult to avoid. Blizzard should perhaps make it more difficult for them to mass farm stuff the way they do, but otherwise they’re not that strong.
