covered in my previous posts. ‘automated’ means NOT player controlled…
they nerf a lot because they are BLIZZARD, lmao.
They dont need boxers to incite them to nerf crap into the ground. Just ask my poor hunter pet who WASNT boxing what they did to his threat early BFA.
Try harder.
Even the crap they do come up with is clearly entitled whining that blizzard is clearly ignoring and ISNT the ‘massive disruption’ they try to claim it is.
We can ALL rest assured that blizzard is watching server data like a hawk every single day. Id think they have to in order to figure out whos boxing and who’s botting, at the very least.
so what?
Red was red 12 years ago.
You saying red is blue today?
Stupid, meaningless argument.
what should be banned is entitled players who think they are OWED something in an MMO designed to compete for resources.
EXACTLY.
I just tried dual boxing and screw that. too much work. Too sluggish and slow.
I can fire up one HM Tauren druid and farm much more efficiently.
What do you think ISBoxer even does? It allows you to press one button or perform a function and automatically swap between all your instances you have open of WoW and automatically emulate that same function across multiple versions of the game.
If you think ISBoxer is even remotely close to a player controlled environment, than any bot program is also allowed because I effectively have to still press a button start the bot program.
The difference is ISBoxer automatically repeats the function you just pressed across many instances of the game, a full fledged bot program is just setup to perform additional functions.
blah blah blah…
Is it sending an identical signal to all client windows or switching between them to send commands? **Not automation.**
Is it playing the game for you, or rather, for one of your client windows? **Automation.**
Multiboxing, or playing multiple World of Warcraft accounts at once, is not a violation of our Terms of Use

Thanks for spreading misinformation. This is fake news!
they think the pathetic jedi mind tricks work here for some reason.
Guess after all this time they think TODAY is the day the asinine arguments will finally work
Common sense is pretty lacking now a days. Entitlement however is not lacking.
scary part? Most of these folks are probably college educated…or currently in college.
and they cant take ‘no’ for an answer.
I smell big problems following basic instructions in a job environment one day when they disagree with the boss who ALSO makes rules they arent going to like
So I’m pressing the button then?
There’s no double standard. You press one button, you get one action per account. They press one button, they get one action per account.

I have to press a button for anything to happen with my team, right now they are sitting waiting for me to stop talking on the forums and press buttons lol.
Wow really, you are going to be that childish ha? I have never once said that multi boxing is against the EULA, ever. In fact I have even said that multi boxing is allowed.
I have only ever said using a third party program to send the command to multiple windows is an automated feature and against the EULA.
I even multibox myself, why would I be against it? The difference is I don’t use third party programs to simulate the button press across many instances of WoW.
Fine, so ISBoxer simulates the same button press you are pressing to send the same button press to a second, third and however many more to instances of wow you have running. It’s still a third party program, it is still automating the same button press you are press, it is still not human interaction.
No matter which way you look at it, it’s a third party program and you are not inputting that function yourself, you are allowing a third party program to do that for you.
You know your mouse driver does this as well right? So, therefore you are a cheater right?
If a human presses a button and the event happens then there’s human interaction.
Oh, almost forgot
Is not automation by our standards.
https://blue.mmo-champion.com/topic/38904-multiboxing-rules-and-semantics/
Yes and like I have already pointed out, that post is 12 years old, it might no longer be relevant since the third party programs people now use were never in existence back than.
And yes, you are pressing the first button. The fact that a third party program, which some of you cannot seem to comprehend, that is not a function of WoW, nor is it a function of Windows, emulates that same button press to many instances of wow, which is effectively automating the key inputs to all other windows you have open.
Than fine, setup your mouse driver to interact with multiple windows instead of using a third party program. But that is also probably against the EULA since the rules state: any code and/or software
And the fact that you cannot program windows to send a keyboard or mouse function to more than one window at a time means that it is almost certainly a bannable offense not matter how you look at this topic.
Do I need to keep pointing out that this post is now 12 years old and Blizzard no longer confirm or deny what is and is not allowed?
Mouse drivers are third party software. Not to mention I could write a quick program that would do it.
Kind of…
What you’re describing is botting in a sense. IE you start the program and you start the script and the game plays itself with no human interaction other than making sure things are running.
Multi-boxxing requires a player to be playing the game. Key cloning is fine, but it still requires the human element or it’s not going to work.
Put it another way. Let’s say I have two computers and two mice. I can make one character follow the other via the /follow command and when I want the characters to do something I could just click on both mice and they are going to do it.
Multi-boxing software does the same thing, just more efficient. The end result still is the same regardless. That is what I think the reason is why Acti / Blizz has no issues.
So? If they changed their stance then they’d say something.
Could be! ISBoxer came out a year after that post. But If they changed their stance then they’d say something and until they do the rule is the rule
So?
Are you under the impression that all automation is bad? I can assure you that isn’t the case.

What are those things in front?
It’s not botting. It’s not illegal. There’s a man in the loop for every action each toon partakes in.
If Blizz didn’t want this behavior, they’d ban it. This isn’t somebody spooling something up and heading off to bed to farm over night.
If someone is running a 100 toons in instances farming mounts all at once, that’s their prerogative. If rare mounts aren’t profitable for you, don’t do it. Find another market.
The idea of playing this game solely for gold bewilders me, but to each their own.
