Yeah only if you spend the whole 24 hours doing questing and getting max level.
I remember them saying that you just need max level to use the old flying. You will be able to use your âdragonridingâ as soon as you touch down. Itâs interesting that I actually use normal flying a lot more in the new zone than I expected. Sure, itâs a lot slower but I can afk in the sky

Imma hot take, maybe not hot take this. I dont think any flying should in game until story content brings you to it. And i get it. Open world engaging content the way you want is definitely in the name, but i think the developers can pace conent and even scenes better when they can direct your path. You also get to appreciate and grow fond of the land when you closeley explore. Not just fly above it all. Plus, you appreciate flying more when you know what its saving you. Imo, no flying until pathfinder BUT⊠and this is a huge but. No rep grind the rep grind if pathfinder for bfa. Was. Just. Awful. Should just be required to finish the story quest, see the journey how they intended (could even be per zone basis) then get flying so you can skip around, or even expand the story more with flight accessing new spots. However, I agree with the original sentiment that if dragonflying is available, regular flying should be along side it. No extra work required

Dragonflight it only took ~5, so I donât know where 24 came from if it wasnât your posterior.
In fact as soon as I dinged I went to obtain flying license for MoP. Then proceeded to fly to Serpent Spine near PVP gear vendors because the flight path was not useable due to it being camped by a huge PVP raid.
Morgan Day gave a great answer about this topic during the post blizzcon Q&A.
You could just use a ground mount yourself until you think you should fly. Why should everyone be restricted?
They havenât been able to do that yet. Being grounded felt horrible in WoD, Legion, BFA, and SL. The only reason people like Legion (me included) is because the seconds half we could fly and a LOT of the restrictions on artifact weapons/power were removed.
No, I appreciated the zones and land in BC, Wrath, Cata, and MoP just fine.
Again no, it just feels like âFINALLY, that slog is through. About time.â

I think both view points are valid.
There are times when I want normal flying when alt tabbed looking something up on wowhead or searching for something hard to find like a rare mob.
Long trips dynamic is awesome. I especially really like dynamic flight straight in to flight from on druid.
I like to use both flying styles, I really donât care if they let normal flying early right off the bat.
I use normal flying to fly short distances.
I actually forget I can fly normally haha
Mind telling us your actual point here, or you just mindlessly hating on something useful?
Blizzard simply has no valid excuses anymore to not let us have both flights right out of the gate, regardless how many fanboys spreads their erroneous subjective opinion of âbut one is outdatedâ when the thing they hate still has uses or donât even realize the both work well together and having both will make everybody happy.

Bots are a valid reason. Having a requirement can slow them down for a bit.

no it doesnât - bots were operating just fine with dragonflying.

Which obviously could be done with real flying also. So again, no VALID reason to treat them differently.
