The only reason to time gate regular flying at this point in WoW is to cause strife and conflict.

Lot’s of players are missing my point and running with with it.

Time gating regular flying has no meaning in current WoW.

MoP was more like 6 months, or maybe even 2 years, I can’t recall.
There were other expansions that took closer to 5 years to get flying.

It didn’t make sense then, it makes even less sense now that DR is said to be on day 1.

Why should it take 20 years to get regular flying in TWW if DR is on day 1?

edit: I swear this whole “You got to wait for regular flying” debacle is turning into an Illinois state road works type job. The estimate might have been for 2 weeks, but it’s going to take 30 years to actually get it done.

While it is the new standard, it isn’t required though. “Regular” flying will still be toggleable as well - you will have to finish the campaign in the War Within, though there won’t be any other requirements like rep.

So rush the main campagin.

I dunno. I say give 'em flying. It’s their sub. The rest of us will have dragon flying immediately, so why not give them the old flying?

OK why do you keep repeating that… it’s absolutely NOT true.

The good points you are making like “Time gating regular flying has no meaning in current WoW.” are getting lost because of the nonsense you keep repeating about things like MoP.

nope. I still use my normal flying mount. So much more relaxing. I don’t have to actually pay attention. beside farming herb on my druid form is the best I don’t even have to land.

Also some people are old like me dragon riding is super burry using it for a while makes me dizzy. Normal flying does not and also with normal flying is much much much easier to fly to a higher terrian and I don’t over shot where I want to land.

Agreed. I love original flying. I went back to using it as soon as we got it. I HATE Dragonriding. I don’t want to “Dynamic” fly. The boss where you have to Dragon ride is awful, and sometimes I just die lol. I really can’t stand it.

MoP had flying available at max level, and all you needed to do was purchase it with gold. If you are going to try and make a point, at least know what you’re talking about.

You mean, rush it as it is dribbled out slowly in weekly installments, or use dragonriding, which will be required to complete the campaign, even though you can’t?

I think he’s a troll… Not a single expansion has lasted 5 years current, unless he’s just being overdramatic. Pathfinder would lock flight for what, 8 months - 1 year? In WoD, Legion, BFA & SL. I know in Wrath flying was unlocked at level 77 and 1k gold
