Please allow all professions on 1 character

You have infinite storage space, the mailbox.

not for the auction house - it expires in 30 days and sometimes it takes more than 30 days to sell what I bought since I am not playing with current content items.

Mail it to an alt.

INCONVENIENCE factor

Seems inconvenient to me to have to mail things to an alt.

It is inconvenient and that is why the current system is a deterrent to someone keep the price of an item high constantly. Your suggestion would remove that deterrent.

I don’t know why you just didn’t argue - make it impossible to shift the items to currency accidently. It would be an easier argument - instead you went with the item restore which doesn’t fix the problem…

Nah it wouldn’t, restore has a 1 month CD. 1 Month or 1 week? Or 15 days? Either way, it’s not convenient to do.

Whichever system, in the end it doesn’t matter.

Probably not a popular opinion, not even sure I would prefer it myself because it sure wouldn’t be as convenient…

But…

To make crafting work and be meaningful they would need to limit professions to two per server. Not per character, per account. Every player being able to build their own horizontal monopoly is what kills crafting as a world building social game and turns it into a single player check list.

Ah… I hadn’t thought of that. sighs

you are correct not popular. if someone wants to take the time to level up and gear up characters and play multiple characters they should be able to get rewards.

OP is the problem with the game - wanting all the benefits without doing the work.

idk, I like having my epic army of alts. For some professions, I need multiple toons for them. Other professions, I only need one toon for them.

Besides, having alts set up with certain professions allows me to compartmentalize things, and allows for better storage for mats. And I like being able to bounce around to each alt.

I respect that, but if the goal was to build an open world and interdependent crafting system, you can’t allow vertical and horizontal monopolies.

In one system everyone can make pencils by specializing in making chain saws to cut down their own trees to take to their own lumber mill to make pencil blanks that they attach rubber from their own rubber plantation and then put in pencil lead from their own graphite factory.

There is no interaction, no dependence and no market because every one else does the same thing.

In the other extreme people have to specialize on a particular part of the supply and production chain which fosters interaction and dependence because no one can build the whole thing from start to finish.

Even better would be if they just attached everything to your account, your level, completions, accomplishments, professions, quest items, mats, gear, currency, collections, ect, and just made the races and classes account skins.

Think of how much more simple, fast and convenient the game would be!

All professions on one character? Never going to happen.
How about people stop asking for EVERYTHING.

Class : Gatherer. Ability to mine, skin & gather. BUT. It sucks at combat.
Its abilities and talents are designed for the professions, fast movement and running away. You will not be taking it into any raid, dungeon or BG.

more simpler???

I agree, I don’t think it would ever happen either

People should be free to ask for what they like

more simplerest

I don’t know if I’d like that, I enjoy leveling  But if someone else wants it cool :man_shrugging:

This sounds weird, would I have all quest items from all characters in all my bags? That sounds horrifying lol.

Mats would be cool :+1:

squint I don’t know if that’d be good or bad, what if I want to have a certain set on one Ret Paladin and another set on another Ret Paladin?

:+1:

They mostly are already right? I can’t think of an immediate downside to this.

Ooo that sounds like fun, then people can change them as they pleased. Not something I’d do but I know it’s something people would find useful.

While I’m not opposed, mining/herb/skinning are fundamentally different than enchanting.

There aren’t enchanting nodes in the world that enchanters fly and get.

 How funny would that be, if there was just armor and weapons sprouting from the ground you fly around and DE
