I already said I was dealing with a divorce. I didn’t have time to play.
Nothing you’ve said discounts the points I have made about people who didn’t get to play. New players have tons of content they can’t access now. Why should they play WoW when they’re locked out of years of rewards? It’s a stupid system that actively hurts the game.

You have this Artifact achievement from June 24:
Power Ascended
Unlock every Artifact Trait for a single artifact weapon after empowering it.

You realize I can see that you did in fact play Legion, reached max level well in advance of 8.0, and simply just didn’t do (or successfully complete) the mage tower? For a single spec? lol.
edit: I just remembered that Mage Tower went away with pre-patch, which was July 17. So you didn’t have until August like I said earlier. But you still did reach max level well in advance of that.

You’re not. There are still hundreds of weapon appearances in the game. The MT only gave you 36 or something like that.

All I ever hear on these is “But the new players! What about them?!” as an argument as to why they should be brought back, even though we all know it has little to nothing to do with new players. Fine, a compromise. ONLY battle.net accounts created During and after BfA can revisit Legion Mage Tower and get the MT skins. Any account that is then linked to a battle.net account created BEFORE BfA would lose them. There, new players can have a shot at getting it.

36x4, so 144 to be exact.
Was it up those entire 1.3 years?

The purpose of the MT was to complete it with the gear, talents, classes (because they will add more one day), spells, legendaries, buffs and consumables we had in Legion. It wasn’t a participation trophy like some people are claiming.
Even if it got easier as the xpac was coming to a close, you still had to level to max, do your class hall quest line then get the appropriate gear and legendaries (for some specs).
I think this goes back to the skin vs. model argument.
But you know what? I’m not going to argue. It’s 144 across 12 classes.

Oh no, I completely agree with you. I don’t think it should be brought back and I wish I had gotten the prot warrior one and a couple others. But my point was all of these “Bring back MT skins” all do a “Think of the children?!” act via new players when we all know it has nothing to do with the new players and everything to do with people wanting to over power it with today’s gear.
Each model has 4 unique appearances listed in the Appearances tab.
36 unique models with 4 colors each. How’s that at least

No you’re right. It’s 144.
However, can I have one tiny victory in saying 100 is one hundred and that does not equal hundreds?

Sorry no can do, I always round up

But rounding would go back to 100. To round to 200 it would have to be at least 150.

Sir this is General Discussion. We don’t follow logic around here. 144 rounds up to 300.

It doesn’t matter what the motivations are, a good argument is a good argument.
WoW is an old game and isn’t making itself attractive to new players. They could let classic rewards transfer to the current game. They could rerelease old rewards under new challenges. But a new player that joins today has decades of armor, mounts, and weapons with dozens of themes that are inaccessible and one mediocre expansion of SL themed stuff to get.

Please don’t try to gaslight the forums by making SL sound better than it is.
Edit: One terrible expansion with no content and sets that looked like they were designed by a university student who procrastinated and had to learn how to copy and paste in blender in one night.

But it’s not a good argument. You played back then, as did I. I got what I wanted/what I was able to get and wiped my hands of what I didn’t/couldn’t. I’m not throwing a Karen “The customer is always right!” fit because at the end of the day, it was my choice and/or lack of ability to get the skins. Just as it was yours.
I want NEW stuff. There are plenty of old gear sets, weapon mogs and the like to get. The Felbear is the right direction. Re-releasing old stuff, not so much. I missed out, oh well. Give me NEW stuff to go for.

It is a good argument because it’s good for the health of the game. Your argument is not an argument, it’s a sentiment. You’re ok with what you missed out on. Ok, then go play the game. That’s entirely your personal preference. This thread is about asking Blizzard to improve the game by allowing new players, collectors, and old players who have quit to find new meaning in the game.
And the one argument you are making, that Blizzard should add new stuff, is illogical. We’re in a content drought. Blizzard can barely release the bare minimum of actual playable content and you want to hang your hat on them making enough rewards to compete with the tons of things they’ve removed? Give me a break.

Original appearances are gone. You won’t get your druid skins.

Do… do you not read what you write? Wanting blizzard to add new stuff is illogical because we’re in a content drought? Karen, dear. Bless your heart. Blizzard is adding new stuff every patch. New weapon transmogs, new armor, new mounts.
Have you gotten the Keystone mounts? The Glad mounts? All the stuff in game that you can still get? Why are you so hung up on transmogs that they said were going away years ago? Does someone having something that you can’t get bring out the jealousy in you THAT bad??
