Playing with alts

I have like 8 80s.

I really only care about gearing 2. And then another 2 or 3 for casual keys / delves.

My main gets KSH and goes for myth gear.

I have one alt that I tank on more casually, just KSM and hero gear.

Then I have like 5 others in a mix of champion / hero gear that I did some delves and a couple keys to figure out if I enjoyed the class. These guys mostly just sit around for call to arms to get some runes.

I have so many alts. very few of them ever make it to cap (tho I got 5 characters to cap for the exp buff this time) but I will make a character I think looks cool and if they don’t end up fitting into the idea I have in my head for friends and family of each other and I just can’t connect with them, I will end up deleting them. I have a lot of hunters (spread out pets) and several druids bc those are my fav and second fav classes, but I have several of other classes at low levels.

I have 11 alts, I put two lower alts in the trash, not to be touched until they make the 90-120 day permadelete mark. Most are 80. I have a 55 lvl warrior that Im going to leave on another server for AH purposes.

No more new alts until tinker arrives. (Fingers crossed.)

Took advantage of the Pandarian remix to try out all the different races and classes. Currently have 30 characters and 16 of them maxed at 80. The rest are at 70 or above, minus two Earthen which are at 40.

I don’t even go this far. I have four accounts in my Bnet, and tons of characters, ranging from maybe level 12 (some Earthen, and other newer Allied races) up to 80 (three so far). I got a lot of new 70s from Pandaria Remix and the TWW pre-patch event. I even mistakenly started some of them into TWW with gear scores as low as 255. Painful at times, but challenging.

Side project right now is to get all low levels to at least 20, and then to 30. I used to run a personal project where I would get every online character at least one level within the year, but now I have too many alts between the various games, that it’s not feasible. lol

I have the following characters -

80 fury warrior
80 elemental shaman
80 balance druid
80 retribution paladin
80 assassination rogue

I really only focus on the warrior and druid. The other 3 are just kinda “there”. I don’t really do a ton on them due to time but I keep them in the reserves in case a rework someday makes one amazing to play or makes the warrior or druid suck.

I have a lot of 80s I tend to capitalize on all xp bonus events.

Only one I geared so far is this mage. Is one week old and at 621 ilv.

Granted that was with pretty heavy levels of play 30-40 hours.

If you are very knowledgeable you can preemptively pop defensives to survive most dungeons and push way above your ilv. Once you can gather gilded crests craft 636 gear is extremely powerful.

Big thing is to run delvs at level 8. Grab bloody token and delv drops to get tier and get your base ilv rolling.

It goes up and down like a roller coaster. So any given time someone asks me the number could be different.

Except for my top 5 or 6 characters which are the ones I hang onto for playing the campaign story stuff running delves etc all the rest are throw away alts . I just like creating alts different race and class combinations different transmog themes I test differ spec/talent builds. Some are deleted before lvl 60 but once in a while one will grab me and they get level capped and I keep them for a while.

Right now I believe I have 21 or 22 characters.

I have 14 level 70+ toons, with 5 at 80. Will eventually get them all 80 with varying levels of gearing. I have that many because I wanted to get one of each 11 classes to max (priests and evokers aren’t real classes), with a couple dupes (2 shammies, 2 kitties and 2 locks split between a couple servers) and cover certain professions. Delves are proving to be great for boosting gear higher than I could before. :speak_no_evil::hear_no_evil::see_no_evil:

I don’t do m+ or guild runs. If I enjoy a tier I’ll pug m0s and normal/heroic raids but most of my gear in TWW is from lfr, vault, and delves so I cap out at 619.

I like alts for mount runs and professions, but I don’t enjoy delves super much so I burn out on gearing after a while. They’re well kitted for their ilvl though.

Numbers-wise I hit my 16th (17th) 80 last week, which is too many. 10-12 was alright personally.

Seen people complain about sub rogues but arms warriors have SO MANY BUTTONS.

Anyway next will probably be a warlock to try a different spec and a nightfallen rogue.

I leveled up my rogue and druid, then geared them to the point they could do the 20 wave thing each week, but as soon as i got the mount i abandoned them lol

I have ~55-60 alts. I have 2 more que’d that i will get to eventually just sitting at starting area. I also have a couple of ideas for when the Legion Timewalking event occurs and also have names reserved for when Paladins get opened up. Honestly i hope Blizzard raises the cap again.

As far as gearing, all the alts i play usually have enough Honor to get a full set by the time they hit cap and then it’s just a matter of a little bit of time if i want to take them into arena or solo etc.
