Curious how many alts do you play? How do you manage and gear all your alts?
I’ve got tons of alts, but I don’t play all of them. Too much of a burden to me. I level my alts up to level cap, and then they collect dust til the next expansion comes out. I do have one alt that’s a hunter, but I am thinking about making it my main for now. I have a druid that’s my main for now, because it’s a pain to gear her up.
Play? Quite a few, but I do not do M+/Rading.
I don’t “gear” them", unless you count 603-606+ geared.
As soon as my alts hit level 80, I take them to the NPC’s that have all the crests, stones and keys. I mainly level a character via TW dungeons, then do 5 more at 80 to get a chance at a decent piece of gear.
Depending on the class/spec I’ll do a couple of delves.
Well one of every class got all but DH, pally and DK to 80
I just do their weekly and maybe a raid or few keys just to get a vault. This toon is already as geared as Ill get before next patch, guilds on break so. Nothing else to do lol.
Pretty much 0, the old crest acquisition system heavily discourages to play alts and the new crest acquisition system was way too late. You have to complete against overqualified and high ilvl players for +8 and +10.
I have 0 mains and 7 alts I actively play. I am considering cutting that number down in S2.
I’ve got 8 that I currently work with that are at 80 with an ilvl around 605 to 612 and I’m okay with that.
I do their weeklies and stick to that and delves and use the stones and crests to upgrade as much as can.
I play every healer besides pally because i dont like pally. But i maintain a 615-639 ilvl just by knowing how to get gear quick. Aldo crafting items or using the vault to do a 10 on each alt for some myth track plus woe gear makes it super easy
I have 60ish I usually just ding them at max level, only pick one or two to actually play. I like to keep the rest on standby or just leave them at an instance to farm.
I run a crafting alt army, so I “play” (log into every 3-4 days and make stuff) about 28 alts. I barely gear my main.
Lots of alts, all kinds of classes and races. I have my main and then a couple I do slightly more things with, and the rest just get leveled to max, either through questing or TW dungeons, then a lot of them just sit. Over time I do take some of them to dungeons or raids I’m farming mogs or mounts on, but most of them just sit there ready to do whatever I need them for.
I only really “gear” alts if I get something you can share with your warband, otherwise most alts don’t get gear unless I do a quest that gives something.
Normally, one. Maybe two.
But due to how alt-friendly PvP gearing has become, I made it my personal goal to chase a few of the 1800/elite sets.
Got 3 of them, so far.
I have four TWW-geared characters sitting on my Warband screen, but only 1-2 of them am I really playing “at a time” depending on which role I’m most interested in playing.
Will likely jump back to either my Hunter or this guy for next patch, maybe my Resto Shaman as well.
I don’t. I just play them for fun and what they get is what they get
I have a bunch of them. I like Hunters and Warlocks the best and play the different specs in those classes. Also I like to dress them in different colors.
Then I have alts for other classes I like to play once my main classes are leveled, like Paladin and Death Knight. I dress my Paladin in yellow, like the sun and my Death Knight wears red and black.
I’m also working on my frost mage who wears blue. To me the mage is the most complicated because of the complex rotation. It involves freezing things with buttons that have cool downs then zapping them while frozen. That’s a bit more tricky than the other specs. I just loaded the Hekili addon to help figure that out.
I take them to max level and bring ilvl to 600ish. I run LFR and Timewalking while having them parked in different expansions around the game.
In DF I played 5 or 6 alts in M+, but now I only play 2. Getting good gear for alts is too much of a pain in TWW. This expansion is only alt friendly if you never take your alts past hero gear.
17 80s right now.
Buuuut it’s not as bad as it looks.
1 is a raiding main, so I only raid on one of them.
Then I have 1 of each class I play off and on, so that’s 13 of them (including the raiding main)
The rest are just extras for mog farming and what not.
Like last night I leveled a second mage for the entire purpose of using her 8 catalyst charges to unlock LFR tier appearances.
Stop managing. Play the class/character you want to play when you login…
I have 6 main-alts, and I always aim to unlock the 1800 PvP transmog on each of them. Currently, I’m also pushing Mythic+ to reach 2000 rating with all of them.
I struggle to focus on just one character because I get bored pretty quickly.
I currently have 13 lvl 80 toons and another 6 or 7 lvl 70 toons Ill get to leveling at some point. As for gearing there is only 1 or 2 toons Ill really put an effort into gearing and the others will just have stuff like the Siren Isle gear. Most of my alts main job is to give me extra rolls on mount RNG every week.
