You didn’t answer my first questions.
And the general normal public may have the availability but not always the capability or feasibility. That’s where your argument fails. This was brought up not long ago and other times. If capability and feasibility were the same, everyone would be equal. That’s what I’m positive Blizzard used to determine the decision they did. Standard deviation and eliminate outliers.
I’m fine with their decision. I’ve been a leveling twink for a while up until this xpac hit. This character is on a legion account so I still get to sit at 110 and pvp. The rest of my alts I just level with the goal of getting any easily obtainable twink gear, such as dragon soul and engineering. All of which are “feasible” and “capable”.
You can be lazy as you want and still twink. Or go hard. Skill evens out the results.

Still didn’t answer my first questions.
And those things may be feasible and capable to you, that doesn’t mean they’re the same for everyone else. That will never be defined by subjective terms.
Can you explain why they aren’t then? Because I cannot comprehend how someone can’t type “yo need any DS gear for mog? I just need leather”
Also what first questions?
Still didn’t answer my first questions. Are you doing that on purpose?
You’re assuming that your situation is the exact same for everyone else. If that were the case, then yes, you would be 100% correct.
I guess it’s just my wight privledge as an undead.
I honestly wish you would have answered my first questions. I think it would have explained the current foundation.
I hope you have a good day.
I asked you what the questions were and you just said I didn’t answer them.
I’ll be honest with you. I think you knew good and well what questions I was referring to.
Oh. Well based off your last 5 responses contributing nothing besides saying “you’re wrong” should explain that. I only mess with you because a dialog isn’t possible. Any other thread and a decent conversation is possible, such as the other thread where we are discussing templates and methods to work within the current system to still twink and pvp.
None of my responses were “you’re wrong”. And if you do a search in this topic, nobody at all has said that.
We’re doing that right now, so I’m not sure I understand what you mean here. Are you referring to me not agreeing with you on this particular topic? Someone asserting their opinion and sticking to what they believe isn’t uncommon and not wrong to do. I don’t really see disagreeing with someone as a valid reason to insult them. I’m not insulting you.
I asked why I was capable of doing it and why it wasn’t feasible for anyone else. All you said was I wasn’t answering your first question.
If you want someone to answer your questions, it’s common courtesy to answer theirs, especially if they’ve asked you first.
Not every person has every avenue open to them at any given time. Some are luckier than others are. Why doesn’t every person have a college degree? Not every person was born in the land of opportunities. Why didn’t every person who played DK/War/Pld own Shadowmourne when the raid was right there, open to them just like everyone else and they can just as easy shout for groups?
You have resources in your pocket. Not every person will have those same resources in theirs even though yes, they do have pockets too.

It doesn’t take long to get enough gear to be viable against most twinks. Assuming you wear heirlooms and enchant them, it’s only 6 other slots. Cheapo gear is enough, and much better than white gear/missing gear.

I was kidding about privledge. Good lord you weren’t. I’m not organizing 20 people to raid dragon soul. I’m hitching a ride from a rando in Legacy Raids lfg or a friend. I’m using the same resources a new player uses.
This is why I don’t bother talking to you.

My comment above was not even in response to that comment of yours. My response to that was
What new players do that?
You’re literally doing that right now. I don’t understand what you’re getting at here.

You miss the context of the post.
Twinking isn’t ultra expensive now, since BiS is pretty much all drop instead of BoE gear. Most of the cost is gems (farmed or crafted) and enchants (AH or self made).
I’m not saying it’s lazy to not think, I’m saying enchants for heirlooms can only be expensive if you are too lazy to farm for them yourself.
Please read a full post rather than snipping.
That said, my post was in rebuttal to the cost of twinking (or even just leveling enchants even on heirlooms). It’s not as expensive as it used to be.
I don’t enjoy the treadmill at high level and I don’t expect leveling players to have bis. Just that if they are gonna PvP to at least try to have greens-blues in most slots. Which is doable from questing dungeons and PvP by 19. Except for helm and trinkets. Which I have a problem with.
Gear discrepancy is an issue especially 10-15 (missing slots) and 19-29 imo. But that’s a blizz problem not a twink problem.

Not a problem since these are heirlooms…

Plenty of them? New players have twice the reason I do to go to Dragon Soul because I already have all the transmog. Just because they don’t know about it doesn’t mean they are excluded from it.
I guess I should have checked my privilege…
Saying new players dont have the time to lock their experience and grind dungeons until their gear is great is a fine assumption, because they shouldn’t be locking their experience. Running dragon soul doesnt require anything more than 20 minutes of your time, and is the same as using a BG to break up the leveling monotony.

I really don’t see new players locking exp, doing raids just to get gear that will be obsolete in a short while. You have someone who will apparently do it at the drop of a hat but that’s you. Expecting the average person to or assuming they have the immediate means? Let’s be real here.
