According to general discussion anyone who does anything in a group is an elitist.
There is no right way to play my guy. The right way to play is the way you enjoy the most. It’s an open world sandbox, not a linear experience.
You got statistics on this, chief?
I’m confused because it seems like you’re saying the one thing you’re willing to do is what you’d like to go by even faster than normal and that’s how you stay occupied
There absolutely is if you want rewards.
Here’s the thing with World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft will never will 100% be geared towards solo players, because World of Warcraft is a social game an MMO it isn’t a solo player game. Yes, there are things you can do solo but you’re ultimately going to feel bored because this game and many MMOs are not geared towards solo players. But ultimately I agree with you, I am bored as well with this game, I don’t want to do M+ , I am sick of raiding, I just feel like I have nothing left but to help my friend gear up or do pvp.
Every facet of this game gives rewards, not just group content. The problem is that there’s nothing in the current season.
I don’t accept “my gut feeling tells me everybody else plays like me, even though I never have anything to do with people who don’t play like me” to be a valid argument.
People are still leaving the game. Right now. Not just solo players. Not just casuals. Players of all sorts are pulling the plug on this expansion.
Why aren’t you concerned about that? How could blizzard have planned so badly when an expansion is supposed to be almost complete the day it drops?
A mythic+ what? Was it mythic 1 or mythic 15. Also it is characters, not accounts so how many of those are people playing more than one character. Mythic+ is a good way to gear new characters so it is best to assume there are some duplicate accounts in that number. For example, how many level 60s do you have? How many did you gear in mythic+?
I hate seeing numbers used with the bare minimum context given to them.
Season 1 = Raider io put 57 million submissions. Season 3 = Raider io put 19 million submissions. 67% decrease.
Warcraft logs saw a decrease in 40% raiding parcip for heroic and above.
Blizzards MAUs dropped from Q1 - 2019 of 32 Million. (monthly active users also count any player that just logs in an plays for 5 minutes and never touches it again for the month. As of Q1 - 2022 they have 22 million MAUs. a decrease of 30%; meaning that overall there is a 30+% decrease in players for Blizzard’s games.
22 Million MAUS / 6 Games = 3.6 Million average across ALL blizzard games. At a 80% estimated retention rate its estimated to be sub 3 million active players at any given time.
There is. You’re ignoring what you were given. They updated your sandworn gear. Go do that.
Or.
You can just engage in endgame stuff and get big rewards.
Yes they did. I have played this game for years and gone through their many changes.
Yes, dungeons and raids have been a part of the game, it was an appeal of group challenges.
HOWEVER, and I wanted to stress that word here, Dungeons and Raids were not the ONLY thing to do. I have played for years without ever setting foot into a dungeon (well except once when my guild wanted me to stand on a thing so they could progress) or raid and have had a happy time of it for the most part.
I also have been in guilds, played with random players, made friends, joined up with others for short term goals, helped out random people and been helped in return. You know, social stuff.
I don’t know why you make the assumption that ‘solo’ mean ‘single player’. The two are not the same. I have played solo. That does not mean I don’t interact with the other players in the game.
MMO means you get to meet other people, make friends, and interact with others. Single Player means a world, however well designed where you will never meet or interact with another human being.
Blizzard’s world, the older content, had a wonderful variety. Lots to do, lots to explore, lots of little hidden treasures. Over the years, it’s been streamlined to the point of soulessness, a design by spreadsheet and paint by numbers. That is how the game has changed.
And lots of players who choose to play as I do, avoiding the dungeons and raids don’t cry about the lack of those rewards (Some do, yes. I admit, some would be nice.) but not all of them. They know that if they don’t choose to play that part of the game, that part of the rewards are not for them.
Many people want some sense of progression, things to do, a feeling of being in the world. Until SL I never had this issue. SL was so bare-bones in its on the rails the only thing to do is gear, go go go to endgame and – then what?
That’s the problem. If you don’t raid or do the M+ stuff, you’re done. And that’s a Blizzard design issue.
With this season, what Blizzard has said is, ‘Go away, play something else or level some toons slowly because we’re not giving you anything else for the rest of the year’.
They may delusionally feel people who don’t care for that kind of play will change their minds, but I can’t speak for them. I can only judge by what they do.
Me, I putter along in old content and slowly level and gear up some alts when I can stomach it so I’ll have options come DF.
This is not 95% and you can’t estimate the number of players playing WoW by dividing it by the number of games. That is not how that works.
You are a joke. Since when has an expansion for wow been near complete at launch? When you normally tack on 4 or so tiers of reputations raids and so on. Yes and new people play to. And, blizzard has realized that and cut bait to get dragonflight out faster to please people. You are ignorant as all heck. And it’s not a gut feeling it’s the facts. And what does that crap about only doing things with people I do things with lol. I do world quests. I do tmog. I do pug raids. What in their is me raiding with guilds on mythic ignoring everyone else. What do you think people who do raid mythic do all day. Just raid mythic? The rest of their time is spent doing what nothing in game.? Why is your life such a failure you need to spend all your time on here victim complexing and trash talking something you still pay for every single month. Your entire routine screams unhealthy someone help me.
And you’ve done all that with worse gear that SL open world gave you.
This is just factually untrue. SL still has Secret rewards, and more solo player content than anything else has had. ITs got more lootable treasures. 4 Cov’s to farm full of cosmetics. 3 Solo player focused zones to explore and find stuff. ZM had a bajillion secret toys and things to earn with puzzles and other things.
Its not bare bones again. Its got as much if not more than the rest have. The game didn’t change. You did. Now you want a higher IL. Thats group content. Thats not solo content.
You want to go collect battlepets, and farm up one of 84 different mounts Shadowlands added? You can do that. What more do you want?
You keep saying. Theres not enough. When theres more than there almost ever has been. What else could you want to get added? You have soloable instanced content. Torgast. You have world bosses, and you can still flag for PVP.
You have tons of treasures to find. Tons of quests and story to do thats all option. 4 different story campaigns to do. A ton of cosmetic items to grind out.
Like really. Honestly. What else do you want? Be real specific because none of you solo players ever are. You just cry that you can’t be in the best gear in the game from killing 12 foxes.
I am not against extending the exp boost. I think it woulda been a good idea.
But if the open world/solo game play is boring previously…how is it still not boring if this is added?
I literally said characters no mention of accounts. I’ll bold that next time. The key level is irrelevant, this is a thread about solo / world content.
Then go to google and look up the numbers lol. I’m literally given you the stats from Warcraft logs, Raider io, blizzard’s own quarterly reporting to their stockholders AND wowranks io. Sorry that literal estimations of multiple platforms and data sources doesnt quite cut it bud. But ether way you can just look at what Blizzard is developing for Season 4. fated Raids, dungeons, etc all the front line of their concerns. meanwhile solo content is still stuck back when they released timewalking.
It is how MAU’s work. Its split across all of blizzard’s games, their math and numbers are correct. I dont’ think you know what you’re talking about. Tossing up random % of players quitting, and not doing content without actually providing where you’re getting the numbers.
WoW’s dying, 95% of people quit. Source: Trust me guy.
It doesn’t cut it because you don’t know how many people are actually playing the game. There is no published subscriber amount. You’re more than welcome to assert your own assumptions but you can’t claim anything.
Okay, you do you then. either way, solo content is always going to be nothing to Blizzard because its a MMO. If you want a solo warcraft experience hearthstone is a thing.
