Honestly, this game is so unfair now as a DPS character. In previous expansions, the wait time wasn’t great for dungeons or raid groups, admittedly because DPS is the most common. But at the very least there was plenty of solo content for you to do, and Mythic+ wasn’t the centerpiece of the entire expansion.
They introduced delves, but delves have an Achilles heel That makes it really bad for DPS. DPS don’t have any ability to tank. So for the average player, delves will be incredibly challenging because you have to tank all of the enemies yourself. The way that Tank brann works, You would literally need to heal him. The only DPS that is capable of doing this is druid, as you can just put rejuvenate on him, but still that won’t keep him alive. For warlock like myself, we are almost entirely screwed in the harder difficulty of delve. Voidwalker simply isn’t good enough to survive, I’ve had my voidwalker literally one hit killed before without the instant cast revive up. Demonology seems to be a little bit better with demon survivability. But still, we are not meant to tank anything
The core issue is that we don’t have an expanded follower system. Dungeons we do, but not heroics, not raids. The wait times for dungeons are just extreme right now, and mythic plus is even worse. I have guild mates who are telling me they are spending 45 minutes to an hour and a half everyday waiting just for one mythic dungeon

Start your own group then you don’t have to wait. When I have to pug, as much as I don’t like pugging, I’ll push my key or a friend’s key and we’ll pug the rest of the group.
Delves were added as a 4th pillar, for people who enjoy solo content, so yeah it will be challenging for some. I find them a breeze even on this character and she’s not really geared, but the option is there for solo players to get some gear.

I had trouble soloing delves on my destro lock too. Only alt I’ve had issues with. Just decided to shelve it if I can’t get a friend to come with.

Delves are easy, even 11’s. Just buff up, and watch where Brann puts the pots, and you’ll be fine.

Not a DPS problem, that a player problem. I’ve been soloing Tier 11 delves with my MM Hunter, WW Monk, Ret Pally, and Fury Warrior all with Healing Brann. Need to work on learning your class before blaming game design.

It’s atrocious in LFG looking for keys as a DPS. Listing your own key makes it much faster but really doesn’t help with targeting the dungeons that are holding back your rating much. You just have to run what you’ve got and be satisfied that you got a dungeon at all.

Um…Don’t know what you are doing during your 11s…but I only do them as DPS to make them faster.
I have cleared on:
Ret, Fury, Frost DK, Havoc,Feral, Sub, WW, BM and Surv, and Demo. I don’t have other alts geared well enough to do more yet. I can honestly say my WW can even do a 11 without a weapon so they are easy.

Edit 2: All my toons that entail all the classes can do at least 8s.
DPS is by far and wide the most commonly played type of class.
Healers are hated
Tanks are vilified.
The former two said “to hell with this” and rerolled dps, thus the whole 95% dps 3% healer and 2% tank stuff (yes, my numbers came from where you think it did)
The increased wait times are because they made healing and tanking way more stressful relative to past expansions. Tanks can no longer sustain themselves, and there’s a lot more spiky/burst healing required
Basically nobody wants to do it anymore, so tanks/healers get instant queues and DPS has to wait for hours. But you’re more than welcome to try it out and see if the grass is really greener… We desperately need more healers and tanks
Also, do delves with healer brann, not tank. There’s times you have to kite or use cc, but it’s WAY easier than with tank or DPS brann

Not gonna lie, I do DPS when doing group stuff these days because it is such a drag mentally to be a tank and deal the DPS doing whatever they want instead of following
That was the whole point of tank Brann. To give the healer classes a chance. If you are dps he shouldn’t be tanking.

The trick to surviving unavoidable damage in delves is to use healer Brann and stagger your potion intake to minimize over healing and maximize the HoT uptime.

The irony that the two most needed specs they made frustrating to play, especially in the pug environment. Then wondered why pugs are having so much trouble. Nerfing the content as much as they have was only half the issue. Folks still don’t want to tank or heal for random groups.

Ya lol, it makes no sense to me either. Tbh I still enjoy healing in pvp, but I only do m+ on DPS alts now
You can give tank brann abilities that heal the party…I know this and only played delved like 3-4 times overall.
This is quite the head scratcher. It’s only easier for tanks to run delves, but it’s certainly not hard for any DPS to complete delves.

I sincerely don’t know what they are talking about. 11s are entirely doable. Heck my WW monk did one when I forgot I sent my polearm to my DK to get upgraded (I just DPS for delves so don’t bother to get one handed weps for him).

People don’t understand averages, or below averages. People say the same thing about certain rating in PvP when not very many people hit ratings.
