Playing as a DPS is very challenging right now

Ive done up to T8 on this guy it was a struggle back then with barely 440ilvl gear but i got through it with a couple of lives left.
I recently tried a T5 on a new Fury Warrior in mostly 4-500 ilvl gear. I didnt survive to the boss. IDK maybe i just donʻt know how to fury and Prot would fare better but it seemed harder than when i did it back in S1 on this guy.

If you are struggling, form a group first. Get gear that way. My DPS toons I was gearing up I wasn’t comfortable with I formed with. Sometimes it takes a while to get a full group, but as long as people don’t stand in bad, you will get through it. Bonus if you have a wave scrambler you will fill up faster.

Tank Brann was explicitly intended to be used by only healers.

DPS use healer Brann. The hot from the potions is very strong and also provides damage reduction. Right now, your Brann is low level so it won’t seem like it’s doing much. If you get Brann leveled and practice keeping the hot rolling, you’ll survive all unavoidable damage. You’re expected to avoid the avoidable damage. The hot and damage reduction is duplicated on your demon. With a high level Brann, your Voidwalker will be almost immortal. He still won’t hold aggro but he hasn’t done that well in forever.

The mobs don’t hit particularly hard and you’re supposed to stagger Brann’s healing potions.

If your are DPS and under geared healer brann is pretty awesome

Only use tank brann if you got heals like druid or pally

Especially after getting nerfed coming into the season…

T11 was crazy hard last season and now I just cruise through them this season.

The game throws so much 597+ warband gear at me I’d struggle to have a fresh 80 in sub-500 gear. But obviously if you’re having trouble, you do lower level delves until you are geared enough for higher level ones.

How hard is it to press the interrupt button occasionally and run over Brann’s potions when you need healing?

Super hard for Disc and Holy Priests!

A Nerubian Threadomancer would chunk half your life or damn near that much with a Web Bolt at T11 in 619-625 ilvl gear as a DPS or healer last season, now it does maybe around 10% at best at 655-660.

Seeing people say it’s incredibly challenging now and I’m like “Umm are we playing the same game?” lol.

I hate face tanking in delves as a DPS. It’s why I’d play something like frost mage or any class with a pet

Not only is there still plenty to do, there is actually more stuff to do outside of group content. We now have Follower Dungeons, Delves that give us access to the vault and Story Mode Raids.

As for tanking, you don’t have to do that in Delves. Just set up Brann as a healer and do the fighting yourself. Call it tank or DPS, it doesn’t matter, it’s just killing bugs.

And don’t use the Void Walker, use the Felhunter. It allows you to interrupt spells.

Actually right now in a week if you have a few alts you could have one gear fully veteran geared just from warbound hallowfall event and quest gear. And if you are in need you can pick the champion item first too from the weekly.

But not shadow and we’re talking DPS here. :stuck_out_tongue:

Only on entry level content.

It’s amazing to me, that the easier the content is, the more toxic people are

Maybe WoW should stop focusing on easy content, since that is apparently encouraging poor social interactions

Delves are very manageable on DPS, though.

Don’t pull everything at once, use cooldowns and CC. Set Brann to healer and run over his potions. His potions heal pets too btw.

I’m very serious. For average casual players, I’m not talking about the top 60% or the top 40% or the min-max community who is good at playing their class. The fact that void Walker can get instantly killed in one hit is very telling

This is how you ragebait, people. Pay attention.

Even my Shadow Priest can solo an 8 and that was before he got 640+
