Players: "Dear Blizzard, we want TBC servers, please!"

Blizzard: “Ok! Here you go, but first you’ll have to play through all the same content we’ve been making you play through since 2019 for one year, theeeeeeeen you can play TBC and it may, or may not, go away in a year or two. We will now pause while we bask in your adoration!”

:confounded:

I have absolutely no idea how Blizzard can continue to miss the mark on nearly everything Classic soooo badly. With the anniversary, there was this huge opportunity to just launch fresh Classic, TBC, and WotLK servers simultaneously. You could even let people progress between them at their own discretion. How amazing would that have been?

You have a fanbase who has stuck with you for over 20 years! Just let people play the dang game they want already and stop trying to force people to jump through hoops.

This is truly baffling. I feel for you, TBC (and WotLK) crowd.

TBC is an expansion to vanilla… it is not weird or unusual to need to play vanilla before progressing to TBC :expressionless: get over it

also, it’s only a vocal minority who are demanding to play TBC again… most people considered it to be a “wrath waiting room”.

It’s gonna make you feel like you’re getting your pizza 30-40 mins late. You’re still getting it, but you feel like it should’ve been free with how long you waited.

No problem. People have been doing that for the last 5 years. You can consider that box checked.

TBC wont even be that fun now since everyone will be bringing over 10s of thousands of gold…

I feel the same, I want TBC day 1 with 1-60 TBC talants, belves, Dranei, etc. with the dark portal time gated for like a week instead of the vanilla raids. I also want TBC to be a forever TBC realm, just like Era is with Vanilla. I think most people want this.

If they do this, I’ll for sure play TBC. If not I’ll just stick to Whitemane, I have a lot of time invested there and have been having fun. A fresh Vanilla server will probably burn out after AQ when it isn’t “fresh” anymore, and they’ll all just transfer back to Whitemane anyway. The same thing happened with the community fresh Deviate Delight project.

That said, if they want to do a fresh vanilla server where they can transfer back to Whitemane after, I guess some people would want that, not me. Everyone wants TBC now though, not in a year. If I want to do Vanilla raids I’ll play on Whitemane, I think other people feel the same.

It’s only gonna give them a year to wreck the economy on classic before TBC. So, it won’t be as bad as you think.

Honestly, since its going to be a prog server, itd be kind of cool if Belf/Draenei were unlocked already. I think thatd be a neat spin on a Classic server. That way theres no OMGZERGRUSHKEKEKEKEK during TBC prepatch to get Shaman/Paladins leveled.

Or a swarm of mages rushing to the scene to sell boosts to the lazy?

ok? and you’ll be doing it for one (1) additional year :expressionless:

blood elf and draenei do not mix with vanilla… sorry :expressionless:

Yeah, it’s not vanilla if blood elves are in with updated models. If I see an elf not sharing the NELF model I will be mad.

I’ll be completely honest, and feel free to actually prove me wrong; I have only seen a small minority even talk about TBC fresh or era on the forums, let alone ANYWHERE else. Where classic fresh has been asked for YEARS by people on forums, in-game, out of game, in other games, on streams, etc.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think you all should be ignored, but there are many of you trying to portray the desire of the player to be vastly for TBC fresh or era, and that is just objectively false.

Yeah, one would think, but TBCC had a dark portal pass that literally allowed you to skip the old world and be ready to go to outland on second one.

So do you really need to go through era again for tbc, or is this just some cope?

Yeah yeah, I want BC badly. Kind tired of vanilla, after 2 iterations of hardcore n sod. 2026 BC feels like century from now.

the existence of paid boosting does not negate anything i said :expressionless:

well you can take a year+ long break like I had to do when they announced muh SoD :expressionless:

It does. You said and I quote

To which I responded with a real factual example that allowed people to skip past all of era and go right to TBC.

Stop pretending like a TBC server couldn’t just present an option to start at 58 instead of level 1.

blizzard has never and will never do such a thing by default :expressionless: if they do it, it’ll be via a paid boost to get money out of impatient players.

Given that TBC hasn’t been available for so long, I would expect the reason for this to be fairly obvious. Remember that you can only post on the forums if you have an active subscription. If a company isn’t providing the thing you want, would you continue to pay them?

There are still a few posts from people who are playing some version of WoW or another, but it’s pretty reasonable to assert that most folks who wanted TBC (or WotLK) have stopped playing.
