I believe it’s just low-level boars that a Hunter charges into the enemy team and because it would die so fast in AoE, gives the entire radius of players a DHK and therefor immediately de-ranks them all… Would have to be a grey-kill level range.

They went away because the honor system got completely removed and DHKs don’t work when honor is just a currency.

I’d be fine with that happening in Era.

Honestly, if this was really happening, it would be hitting tons of people, and the outcry would be huge. I won’t say it’s not a possibility, but I certainly wouldn’t let it stop me from going to AV, or in reality quit all BGs, since you could just as easily run into these “boars” in any BG.

Civilian NPCs are faction affiliated and have a white background behind their name in the default UI.

A grey kill doesn’t reward honor, but is not a dishonorable kill unless someone has more specifics on how that would happen I have to assume it’s not happening

Honestly they should probably just remove DHKs altogether. All they do is give griefers a way to grief and don’t really add anything of value to the vanilla experience. You used to at least be able to grief bracket breakers with DHKs but now bracket breaking isn’t a thing.

I’d be fine with removing DHKs completely even in Era. Make current civilian NPCs unkillable and non-aggressive so you don’t have griefers pivoting to removing low level player’s ability to quest.

The common sense fix is to remove dhk from being possible in BGs

In open world? Leave it on.

Is this even real? All I found is some reddit posts explaining this is a visual bug from grey level pets and doesn’t actually confer DHKs.

Any boar who runs is the enemy.

Any boar who doesn’t run, is well disciplined enemy.
