I wholly agree. It’s important to remember that in SL, it was the devs who agreed with the players and told leadership “We’re going to fix this” and then produced 9.1.5 – the patch that basically made SL fun again. Typically, you’d move to the next phase of the project, but they, in the middle of the lawsuits and terrible/hostile feedback, put forward a huge effort to implement as many Player-Forward changes as possible. It wasnt Bobby or Phil who said to do it, it was rather low-level devs who cared about their playerbase.

If they want to, they’ll cook it up in under 6 months. Maybe even less.
If they don’t? Never. We’re completely at their mercy. and they know we want it bad. in fact I wager they think its what keeps us coming back. one last carrot to dangle endlessly. “Maybe some day” Ion says after 10 years. “We’ll think about it.”
It will be time gated with a new vault track. Do up to 8 chore events per week that you hate to unlock housing vault slots to choose one new piece of furniture each week. Your house will reset with each new season.

they’ve had ample opportunity for player housing. i’m all for it, but like… they still have’nt done it. and that sucks.
Would be great if they did add player/guild halls and allow others to visit them but Bliz only would support it for the current expac then prob forget about it.
My guess is, we’ll get it rolled in with Cata 2, probably either Midnight or Last Titan or BOTH. They did say it had to make sense and would be something they’d have to work on for a few expansions, when better than two expansions where you’re already looking to revamp the entire planet as part of the plot?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Willing to bet that Player Housing and Warband driven Follower Content is going to be the new Evergreen feature in Midnight.
First Cities getting player housing will be Gilneas, Undercity, Silvermoon, and Amirdrassil.
All being Neutral Cities, because the Faction War will dissolve by the end of TWW.
