They really won’t. WoW’s game engine can’t handle anything beyond the garrison model of pre-placed slots with a menu of things that can go there.
That garrison is really all that will ever happen. It can be upgraded and updated, but WoW’s engine can’t handle a free-building system like some people are demanding.
You can’t even drop items on the ground and pick them up again, in WoW.
That’s my concern. Can this old game engine even do it. I don’t know. BTW I really like your 'mog.

The engine is updated every expansion. They can do an Old Republic style housing system with hooks in pre-built buildings.
but dont they update their wow engine with every expac? i personally would love to see them improve the physics aspect wow engine so that that can implement more mini console-like games that requires jumping, docking, dashing etc. for puzzle solving and exploring etc.
How many of you are homeless? I get to stay in inns everywhere for free. What do you need to do? Fill rooms with useless fake crap? I have a garrison from several xpacs. But maybe I’m not picturing the same thing.
