I just want to be able to make a house in the new draenei city that was previewed in the heritage quest line and be able to decorate it with draenei furniture and stuff.
I don’t want to be forced into Stormwind and use human garbage.

Lol indeed this would be great! I would love to have a small cottage on the alpine of Alterac Valley, the constant struggle down at the valley would be a great entertainment to watch

Anything and everything. If it’s an asset, I want to be able to use it. Or learn a recipe to craft it! (I looking at you, beautiful outdoor planters in Valdrakken!)
Also, we need an OUTSIDE. A garden and front and back yard. Let us customize the plants in our gardens.
Also, a bookshelf. There are so many books and pieces of parchment in this game with lore. I would be nice to be able to vendor them and have the bookshelf “remember” anything like it so I can access them any time I want.

with player housing there should be a mini gamemode where players sit at a table and the card in the middle is the card players have to pull out and they should guess the liar
I’d like multiple types of housing for each side. Going full blown racial for everyone could lead to some disappointment so as Orcs living in cob huts with spikes.
Reverse auction for land purchases
Trophies trophies trophies and more trophies of things I already killed over the years.

This is the part where people start coming up with their perfect ideas, then convince themselves that blizzard promised it, then proceed to get angry when it turns out it was never really the way they imagined it. Let the overhype begin.

Nah my only expectations are that it isn’t garrisons and I can actually decorate my house. Anything beyond that would be pleasantly surprising.

There is no way they will launch housing with every single persons individual idea regarding housing.
I think for most of us, our hope is that over time they will add to this feature because it should be an evergreen thing to always add to.

I honestly believe this is the BEST time to share any idea/thought about this subject (Player Housing), immediately after the announcement.
After being told Player Housing is not possible for so many years, player community never give up and keep requesting and finally we have this great news today.
This is also a perfect proof that Blizz does read our forum opinions !
So Please keep the Idea flowing ~!

That is all playable. It shouldn’t have mechanics that give buffs to the rest of the game as then it becomes a mandatory piece of gaming, rather then something genuinly fun to do without pressure. The most it should do mechanically is things like rested bonus, and a mailbox. Maybe a crafting table or bank access, but even that’s a maybe.

I think some people will always be too idealistic, and those people will always be let down. Such is the fate of those who often set unrealistic expectations. I also think there are some people here with genuinely good ideas, and I think there’s a chance some of these good ideas could serve as inspiration for Blizz if they’re seeking it out. At the very least, it provides legitimate feedback so they have an idea of what players would be looking for in a player housing system.
We’ve spent 20 years waiting for it, and seen many other good house systems in other games (miss you crazy Wildstar space asteroid), so no matter what there’s going to be some letdown, but it seems like a lot of folks are just expecting the base of a few rooms and decoration ability.
I want a cabin in Winterspring in the middle of nowhere.

My biggest want, that is probably never going to happen, is that the houses are not instanced. They would need to add a lot more real estate but that’s what I would want.
Omg wait. I want my house to be where that little Gnomes house with all the sheep by Stormwind is.
Palia has an interesting system they could take ideas from…
You have an instance entrance in world that looks like a roadway or trail that ends at the portal. You go to a small instanced area that can have a choice of landscapes (these could be tailored to the different racial themes) in which you build your home.
You have a selection of prefab rooms of varying sizes that can be linked together, and then you can build your own furniture from a selection of styles to place therein.
(This could support a crafting profession for furnishings)
I would suggest that instancing be the way to go; I have been in a couple games where housing was allowed in the open world and it led to completely jam-packed areas with a player house every few feet. (this would probably lead to immense lag)
It would be too much to hope for wildstar-type building again, but I’m hoping they make at least a good effort.
