What do you hope to see with the implementation of player housing?
I personally would like to see multiple plots of land available across Azeroth, that way you can pick your favorite area in an expansion (for example a townhouse in Suramar) and make the world feel relevant again.
Character custimization options, garrisons and playable races have taught me that there’s no point in getting hopes up for much fancy stuff.
At this point I’ll be glad if there’s more than one house design, changeable wall/floor and if furniture can be placed anywhere in the house.
To have different house buildings from different races and cultures of civilizations instead of just simplely human and orc. Like a Night Elf House, Tauren, Troll, Forsaken, Blood Elf, Dwarf, Draenei, Worgen, Gnome, and etc. If we do have Human and Orc hoping we get something different like Kul’tiran, Arathi, Mok’thanal, Mag’har, and etc besides just Orgrimmar and Stormwind.
This along with stacking such as, if I put a wall shelf up, let me put flowers/pictures on it.
Oh and if possible, maybe some outside stuff as well? like a small front porch or backyard or something that we can place out companions. Dog deserves his own lil spot to relax.
For it to be deleted lol (never cared for player housing in any of the games that have had it). It’s just going to add extra junk to limited bag/bank space

I want there to be absolutely 0 functionality outside of customization. At BEST, maybe crafting stations like an anvil or cooking fire and, of course, mailboxes.
But absolutely NO auction house or bank access or reagents or anything. Don’t repeat the mistakes of Garrisons. Let it be a purely cosmetic thing that people do for the fun of doing it.
How about removing real junk instead of not allowing more meaningful items (that won’t stay in the bags anyway if they’re added to the house)?
For the love of God do NOT have limited plots like FF. Just have instanced housing like the Garrison.
History repeat it self… And soon they use this list to charge us money for player house skin…like black temple…ICC and many more… Much like we burn so much for Garrison…
Case Time is a flat circle, We Had player houseing in WOD we have many things in said house of our base quest Garrison board, Troops and many but no one care, as it cost us much of Warlords… SO much… and now it is happening again… Twilight just Warlords of Draenor reskin with Now Bowing to the fans… We used to fight God of Death, Dark titian now… Look at us Building a house to stay in and AFK case… Time is Flat Circle
The same. After hearing what FF14 and Fallout 76, and even Elder Scrolls Online did with Player housing on top of Guild Wars 2 I want to see people around me after I finish up setting up my place to see my local neighbor players.
There NEEDS to be at least a portal to the current major city, or a player house hearth stone.
Maybe a customizable portal room. That’s about as much functionality as it should get.
People should be able to hearth to their house and log off and then go to portals and not be inconvenienced.
A profession room would be fine though. Things like a stove, anvil etc.

i just hope they dont go the ff14 route where only 1% of players get to have houses due to it using a bidding system
We did not have player housing in Wod…this has been explained over and over.
I want my house to be a level 40 raid.
I’ll be in the living room as a final boss.
i’ll be on the terlet after eating taco bell, the main mechanic is avoiding the green swirlies
Instanced “neighbourhoods” like in FFXIV would be nice instead of a instanced house. I want to see my neighbours and step on their manicured lawns with my enormous hooves.
Looks like we get trophies from boss kills, but I also want a stable where I can select a few of my favorite mounts to be on display, and also a menagerie which will allow my favorite battle pets to wander my house in the world.
Runescape had the latter and it was adorable. You could build pet beds etc and pets would wander your house.
Also I want the ability to share houses between all my characters if I want. (At the very least the collectibles should be account wide). I want it to be a restable area and I want the bed to function. I would like to see my character house on the login screen and I would like to see my character wake up and get out of bed like final fantasy.
I would be willing to bet quite a bit of money this is exactly how it went in some corporate boardroom somewhere:
“Hey, nice merger, fellow corpos. We now own 2 of 3 of the top MMOs in the West. What can we take from one and put into the other to milk more money from the players?”
“The ESO housing gets people to spend a lot of real money for stuff to decorate with and cosmetics.”
“Great idea. Get a team working on porting the netcode and server architecture to WoW’s engine.”
I can guarantee you it’s going to work exactly like it does in ESO. Every single aspect. Whether that’s a good thing or not is subjective. All things considered it’s much better than the real estate nightmare that is FFXIV, so we lucked out in a sense.
