Player housing when?

Small house on Ruins of Feathermoon, Feralas

People didn’t leave their garrisons much because there was Trade Chat, a herb garden, a mine, a bank, profession buildings, even potentially an auction house. They even had a room for trophy displays and a toilet. What they didn’t have was a bedroom, not even a bed.

Player housing should be a house that functions as such, with decorations, furniture and gardens that can be sourced from in-game rewards. Something a guild could establish as a meeting place.

Probably never.

Only if they update the textures, because holy crap the old areas really show the game age.

We are all just murder hobos with loot!

Was thinking this exact thought. As zones seem to be the only way to do it effectively for everyone involved along with Guild Halls/Castles.

I given up on any hope of it in my life time.

Right after the Dance Studio.

What like underground apartments because they can’t stick them in above land? Hmm idk maybe…there is a lot of space below Org now thanks to Garrosh making an underground fortress. Sadly the blizzard team did say player housing will never be a thing as they’d have to basically overhaul the entire game to allow such and that’s too much effort and money for too little gain to them

That statement caught my attention, too.

The fact that we haven’t had this years ago is ridiculous,

In fairness I never go to mine in FF14 anymore…maybe I should.

I like my garrison, I bunk up with Jenny Larson and her cats.

“we have gary suns”

I have no interest in it and to do it to a level of quality that’s acceptable to the players who do want it would require giving up an entire expansion to it’s implementation. I’ll sit that expac out.

Garrisons.

Sorry, but it’s WoW’s version of player housing.

Whichever game’s version of player housing would make you happy, isn’t going to be everyone’s version that will make them happy, which will lead to more negative whinging about how fail it is, just like garrisons.

And just like garrisons sucked the population out of the game world because everyone was hanging out in their garrison, the complaining now about how dead the game is, (I don’t see it because the servers I play on are always “High” or “Medium”), if player housing was implemented, that would happen all over again as well.

Could be a moneky’s paw situation trapping housing in redundant zones. :dracthyr_sweat:

As I said earlier, that is a false claim Blizz keeps making to justify never doing it. If they assigned a small team to work on it in the background, that would have minimal impact on other content and if they had started when it was first asked for, we would probably have it by now. People need to stop believing this damn lie that player housing would cost content, if Blizz is smart about how they go about it, there would be no problem. This current Dev team wants people to believe it would cost other forms of content to justify never doing it.

Sadly, this would be the perfect cash grab.

Have us unlock player housing but put decoration bundles on the store. People will gladly buy them

I’ll keep bringing it up. The other twoMMOs I play have them. And not everyone hides in their house. it’s not a mission hub like the garrison. More of a place to showcase your achievements, mount farm/stable, etc.
