Player Housing: What features do you wanna see?

With today’s release of videos by various streamers, we were given a greater look into player housing and a lot more details. I know devs aren’t saying much, but I know they occasionally skim these forums for ideas and suggestions.

What are your biggest daydream ideas for player housing?

Mine are:

  1. I want to have lots of rooms so that all my alts can have their own set up and to let them chill in it when I’m not playing them, so if I’m on my main I can see them while I’m building. Have like a little character management UI and assign them to an object like a chair, a bed, or even like have them tinkering with an alchemy set on a table. Also assign battle pets to like a dog bed or a window sill, etc.

  2. The option of being neighbors with my friends and choosing to be next to them. Also, lots of different types of zones for us to choose from, not just Elwynn lookalike or whatever.

  3. I want a swimming pool that players can actually get into.

  4. Magical effects like a dark aura, green noxious gas, etc. to fill my house or a room as part of an aesthetic.

  5. The jukebox like we had in the garrison.

  6. A big throne to sit on, like a ruler over my own hovel.

  7. An actual bathroom/bath house with tubs and vanity mirrors, etc.

  8. The option to make really BIG rooms like a dining hall/throne room or really small rooms like a closet.

  9. NPCs who act like butlers, maids, or staff.

  10. I think I really just want to rule over a castle it seems like. Let me have a tardis castle lol

  11. I want the dragons skewered on the spikes of Blade’s Edge Mountains as an asset

I want to see all items in the cash shop so I don’t have to grind them out

200% just gonna make a castle/manor. It’s gonna be Castle Nathria/Karazhan 2.0.

The option to NOT be in a neighborhood whatsoever and be a hermit.

I mean seriously, we are the literal saviors of the universe.

We should be allowed to have a private island or something along those lines.

EDIT: Also, 1 house per character and not 1 per faction/account.

The streamers mentioned that there were some neighborhoods where the houses were really far apart and you aren’t smooshed up alongside someone, if that helps.

But a private island is an awesome idea!

collections mounted on my wall, and for the system to be nothing like friggin garrisons…

but what are the odds that happens :skull:

yep so i can have a plot next to a specific persons if i want,
my jukebox from my garrison or a player of some sort to play the scrolls i got

All I really want is for my NE druid to be able to go to Bel’ameth and make a nice NE home in a NE zone with NE decorations. Until I can do that I’m not particularly interested in making Human/Orc stuff.

I want Blizzard to continuously launch new plushies in-game so my character can fill a room entirely with plushies.

Garrisons are plenty for player housing. Really don’t need more.

The option not to participate and it not be some how tied to power or give any kind of advantage if you participate.

I’m not taking away from those who want it - good for you, but I have zero interest in it.

One of the more interesting components of WoD and it’s garrison’s was that as you went and did content across the game and completed questlines there were people who would show up at your garrison, just kind of wandering around as NPCs and forming a sort of living heraldry of your accomplishments during the expansion and to me this was one of the coolest things that WoW has ever done; a visual representation of our history.

Now, I don’t expect the devs to have the thousand some odd NPC’s that we’ve dealt with wandering around our house, but having memorabilia from across the ages of our play, things that we forgot about and remind us of when we were filled with wonder and awe at what this game could be? That would be spectacular.

I’m curious to see how we get back and forth from our house to where ever we are playing. Do we get an extra Hearthstone for home?

Good thing devs already confirmed it is 100% optional content and has ZERO ties to power or progression. It’s as irrelevant as battle pets and it just a “for funsies” feature.

I want a mission table, that let´s me pick specific decor that I then hunt in the outside world. Like an improved transmog menu where you can specificly target certain items.

I want crafting tables, a bank and storage that only I have access to.

I sure hope so.
My involvement with housing is gonna very much depend on how annoying it is to get there.
ESO allows me to portal to my houses all day long from anywhere in the game.
If bliz makes it time consuming to get there, I’ll probably just use my garrison as my ‘home’ for the most part given I have a hearth with a 20 min CD
