This is a great idea. I would like to visit random homes. My house is a mess, so not hosting today.
Mounts, pets and toys⌠probably would never be linked to it.
Achievements and titles? Iâm sure thatâll exist. But if itâs for something you donât do, why does it matter?

i think i have an ah in my personal house, at least one of them.
as for the topic. i would be open to having a communal open space area that you can build your house around. like a neighborhood or even having people build their own small village or something. at least i am thinking thats what you are asking for?

Giving my support to this as well with a bump, this and housing has so much potential if done well! Can use assets already ingame too, like the fish tank in old Dalaran or a rack of bottles that can be placed on the wall from Boralus! Also let us do landscaping too, I want an orchard at my place.

If Club Penguin could do it, so can Blizzard.
I regularly see over 40 people at events in Shattrath. Creating an vent and then having to tell people they canât come because youâre full is an awful experience.

Excellent idea with very few drawbacks other than that non RP people can find your event and mess with it.

One thing I would like to see is either NO lockout date- once you have your house, you have your house⌠or a very LONG lockout date. I believe in LOtRO you can pay up to six months or a year in advance, and housing fee is very affordable. That way, if someone finds themselves unable to sub for awhile, they donât lose their house. And if they do, their belongs are put into escrow, so when they can play again they donât lose everything they bought/earned.
Another thing I would like to see is a public/private toggle. Want yourself and only a few friends? Party up and enter, or add friends to an âallowedâ list. Feel like hosting a party that night? Toggle it to âpublicâ at the push of a button. You can set it back to private again later.
PLEASE do more than just Stormwind and Orgrimmar, or Alliance = Human, Horde = Orc. Let us choose various styles of dwellings from throughout the world. I main a Blood Elf (played as a half elf) and am a big fan of the Valâsharah houses, for instance. Let us pick and choose.
Some fun things Iâd like to see:
- A stable, in which to showcase our top three mounts
- An armor stand, in which to display our favorite armor set
- A weapon rack, to display 3-4 of our favorite weapons

As long as this is a feature thatâs off by default, this idea is 100% fine by me. I want my home to be secluded from everyone else but maybe Iâd be willing to open my doors at some point.
Definitely an idea I hope blizzard considers.

I love these ideas and look forward to having a nice little home for my alts. One thing Iâd like is to be able to put pictures of alts on the wall, as many of mine have been created as family in my writing, even though they may not be on the same server or even the same region in game.

Yeah if itâs anything remotely like FFXIV then this feature is gonna be near the bottom of the totem pole.

I donât roleplay, but I do think this is a good idea. Not sure if this was mentioned in an earlier reply, too many to go through. Blizz shold make each house owner a GM/Raid-type leader when inside their own house. That way they can /kick anyone who starts getting out of line/rude/crude/etc.

Iâm in full agreement and support of this.
I spent quite a bit of time over on FFXIV and one of the ways to get RP interaction going is via events being hosted at oneâs player owned home. This could range from diners, parties, fight clubs, bars, social gatherings, fundraisers and just about anything you can imagine. And because the server feature was opt-in, you werenât limited to your own serverâs house collection.
Iâd say this would not only boost RP interest but increase the variety of RP that can be found. I have hopes that the devs see this thread and highly consider this additional approach.
