Case I kinda dreading fact try to build the house my own when I could just pick a pre-set build home, but that kinda remove the freedom of home making I mean, I Play fallout 4
and I have to work out to build up my Doughnut shop form scrap with enough room to walk in, tables to sit in, nice jukebox to play music with window display light fan, casher and room to move around in back to use crafting table make said Doughts and Coffee.
I mean, cooking stove be nice but What if I want my Engi table by my Mount area like garage, or be werid have it set in bathroom case Gnome are werid like that.
Try Second Life. Just about everything in the game was built by the “members” (i.e. the players). They give you very powerful building tools to build pretty much anything you want to build.
And you can write scripts to put into what ever you build so what you build can do stuff.
I think I used to have an account but I would have no idea the name, email address, or anything else about it. Maybe I should login again to look around
I’m kind of hoping they go the Palia route. Preset building structures of different sizes that are highly customizable inside and out. You chose where each building and furniture piece goes as well.
I just looked. It’s still there. Sure, log in and look around. Second Life is free to play as long as you don’t want to own land, own a Second Life Condo or a few other things.
They want to know if they’ll be able to buy (get) not just random pieces, but a collection of pieces that are not just a collection, but come pre-laid out in the home, so they can just go to a furniture store, buy the entire display (including the plastic flowers in the glass vase), and put it in their home. No clicky, no draggy, no conflict of choice.
Ahh I see, well, it’s a shame they won’t have a “Valheim” like system for building here, but at the same time, that’s basically a whole different game unto itself to do it right.
Maybe when we have a full VR world with bodysuits like in “Ready Player One,” but I don’t see that happening by end of year if ever
Yea but since it is owned by facebook, I think I’ll pass. I have zero social media accounts and trust none of them further than I can throw them. If they were still independent I might login and see what goes.
No it’s not. Zuck did announce that he was going to implement a revolutionary new idea which was basically a Second Life like virtual world with VR goggles but there was nothing new about it. Second Life itself dates back to 2004 and has nothing to do with Facebook.
Of course the media followed along like the mindless puppy dogs they are and never called him on the fact that he was ripping off Linden Lab’s ideas.
